Harriet's latest acquisitions - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Harriet's latest acquisitions   Harriet's latest acquisitions - Page 14 EmptyFri Apr 19, 2013 10:17 am

I haven't had much time to get on the forum recently, I'm just so busy with my work at the moment. I have probably missed a lot, but I do visit and look at what you guys are up to, even if I don't comment all the time.
I haven't been buying plastic animal figurines, I have way too many and can't fit any more into my cabinets (that said, I have my eye of a few of this year's releases Laughing ) I have bought, though, some ceramic/resin and one Lineol over the past couple of months.

Some of you may be interested to see a few North Light dogs, I'm only collecting some of the terriers - here are my latest ones, bought on eBay at bargain prices of course. All except the Airedale are originals (which I bought thinking it was an original, it turned out to be made in china. Bit of a disappointment, maybe one day I'll replace him with an original).

Lakeland Terrier, original

Scottish Terrier, original

West Highland Terrier, original
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Airedale Terrier, made in China - I still love him all the same

I haven't managed to take any photos yet, but I also bought a couple of Klima figurines. A Wire fox terrier and bloodhound

This next one is very special, a Lineol zebra, something I've been wanting for a while. I lost one on ebay by only a few pence, but the seller had another one (which I think was nicer) and he let me have it for the same price, very nice of him.

Congrats Harriet, all very nice figures cheers
I've been searching for Lineol zebra too, but with different stripe pattern. The one you were outbid for, it had the same stripes as this one?

Wonderful dogs Harriet! How big are they? And they aren't plastic, right? (I just looked at your post again and see now that you say they are resin.)

The Lineol Zebra is just wonderful! Congratulations!! I'm really happy for you.

Thanks Scott! Yes that's right, the figurines are made of a porcelain and resin composition. They're not all in scale with one another, they are larger than 1:12.

Here are the Klima I bought (I forgot I also got a Red Panda)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Wire Fox Terrier, Blood Hound and Red Panda

This is an artist resin called "Mini Cromwell', a Shire Horse Stallion sculpted by Doris Lindner. It is a limited edition to only 125 pieces in resin. I haven't decided what colour to paint him yet - I was really tempted by the traditional version, BUT I came to my senses and settled for the smaller scale which was MUCH cheaper.

I'll be posting more photos on my blog for those who'd like a full walkaround the model - he is very beautifully sculpted.

The horse is very nice. I know it is not an original idea but my choice for coloring would be black like the Safari Shire! Very Happy

This arrived yesterday, the 2013 Kitan Club Japanese Crane - he's absolutely beautiful, I'm so pleased with it.  I love that he's free standing too, no base.
