Susannes new collectas : Baby lion, dinoes, zebras, roan horses, plants,cocker..

Rcently I have had some unexpected, serious expenses, so my collection has to grow VERY slowly the next months.
But luckily I have the great friends here at STS, - and a few models were already on the way when my old car broke down

Roger sent me a wonderful Package just before my birthday.
Among other goodies, the retired lion kitten, so mow the Crogerlecta lion family is complete (o)):


Did anybody notice the discussion that dinoes might well have been a lot more colourful than we think ?
Roger also sent me this wonderful broceratosaurus, - isn`t that a great model ?






Last week a long awaited parcel arrived fro MPV
I am unpacking it very slowly to make the joy last
Here the Scherzinosaurus, - colours here, too




We have seen these before, but I am so happy to have got them, I have to show you the roans.

Hmmm, the difference in colour between mare and foal surprised me a bit.
In Iceys the foals do not "roan" untill they shed the fuzzy foal-coat, so they would have been opposite colours in that breed. But I don`t know about mustangs, - even if they look more like Andalusians, like these ones

I have to show the water buck also, - he is FABULOUS

It seems that CollectA has started immitating Safris tags, - a very good idea, IMHO (o)):

Last week I couldn`t resits poking my nose inside the local little knitting-shop, where they have a few old Collectas.

Of cours I had to buy a couple of models
The zebras


That zebra may have some flaws, but it has the most wonderful head


And the lovely cocker Spaniel

Susanne, I'm glad you like the lion baby and dino. Actually I thought proceratosaurus was interesting due to its unusual painting.
Anyway I like best your CollectA therizinosaurus, it has an impressive bird looking and balance. It is time to brands forget the lizard looking of some dinos and start giving them that bird appearance.
Ah, it also remembers me how hard is for me to identify a horse breed. This horse can even remember a Lusitano and the CollectA Lusitano can make me think in a Mustang.
I hope to find an antelope like this one for my collection.

You are not the only one.
It is such a shame that old, breeds are constantly "improved"
Even Lipizzans look almost like most of the other breeds these days
The Haflingers begin to look like English ponies..and as we see, Schleich can use a Hannoveranian stallion as a Marbacher, just like that !

That was why I was SO enormously happy to see the Portuguese stallion at OL in dressage

Yes, this tremendous school Lusitano doesn't looks like a Mustang indeed!
Horses world is interesting and it is fun to learn it here with friends!
