Safari Highland, Safari Carabao ( ), Safari  Guernsey cow, Schleich Black Bull ( THANKYOU, Yvette !!), and Safari Ayrshire cow .

Please can you make one or two pictures with the Ayrshire cow and a Schleich or Papo cow to compare the size?

I just can't find the Ayrshire right now

I have aquired the terrible habit of just putting the models on my piano in a box, when I want some other ones there...now may be the good time to sort them in the right places

These late Safari cattle are more slender than Shleich.

I like that Guernsey and Ayrshire cow, they don´t look so ´furry´. The surfaces of many figures of the recent years seem to exegerrated for my taste. They all seem to have winter fures like animals in Siberia...

You are completely right, - many models are much too fuzzy.
Except when wet, even extremly fuzzy furs look smoother than that

These Bullyland cows are lovely, I can just imagine them grazing in a field of grass!

I'd forgotten about this little guy, he's made by Breyer to match their Stablemates horses (but with those horns, he's much wider and has to live on a different shelf! )

I didn't know you collect cattle, Andreas. I am guessing they are probably very rare.

I didn't know Breyer made a Stablemates-size longhorn bull. Do you have any more information about it, when was it made and was it part of a set?

Thank you. I don't collect farm animals. But sometimes, if i get a few in lots, they join my collection. So i don't know anything about the Breyer longhorn

He was in a set originally, yes - I have a feeling I got him second hand cos I looked up what the full set contains and I'm sure I only have the longhorn, llama, and horse from it

It's an older one Widukind, I got this in an egg in the late 1980's/early 1990's? it's a clip-together kit . . . I lost a hoof for many years, but it turned up in another set's bag and went back on!
