Irish draft horse and Safari Ltd. Barnyard Boddies, - HUGE :-0

An Irish Draft horse ( correctly spelled Draught) , - wow
I saw it for sale on Ebay, and for several reasons I couldn`t forget her .
When I was young, I had an Irish steeplechaser, she was 1/4th ID , and a fabulous, wonderful horse !

This breed is not in my collection, and I couldn`t find her in Safari`s catalogues either.
Well, shipping of one single, little model is expensive, but the sellers are nice, so I was sure the model would be fine
After a few days hesitation, I HAD to look again, and....
.... so this morning she arrived

But ! Holy macrel ! She is HUGE

Looking through my catalogues, at last I found her.
She is from a spacial series of large models called Barnyard Buddies

And isn`t she beautyful ?
This breed is a medium-heavy draft horse, a well known Irish breed.

I like the way the mane is naturally falling to both sides

I remember reading about this Safari series. They describe it more or less as huge figures more oriented to young children. Though, I remember being surprised that they really look nice and they represent specific breeds. It would be more expectable a generic goat and horse, for example, but it is great that they decided to put it in a higher level.

At least I think so, - I don`t have any...hmmm...yet

Btw, I found this very old picture of my Irish horse, Rangoon.
She must have been two years old by then, but was always a very slender horse, and ENORMOUSLY fast.
Her dad used to participate in the Grand National steeple chase

The Safari girl looks to have some very nice horse proportions (now this subject is so popular nowadays ). Maybe a little big boned around the legs though. Her facial expression is wonderful!

Yes, i was startled by how large the Barnyard Buddies Ewe is. but she's one of the best sheep figures ever i think.
