This brand isn't as known as Clairet or Starlux. You can find it, and buy it cheap, in a bunch

Thanks for your reply. Please let me know if you find a Cyrnos tamanoir or renard. I am glad they're not expensive and I see you opened a topic about French anteaters. Very Happy

What sort of animal is the one directly after the Fennec Fox?

I was only talking about the panther, I think the anteater is a JIM. Wink

I don't think so.

In the Book "Soldats Plastiques" written by A Thomas, 25 animals are described, no anteater.
Of Course, he wrote that other references may exist, but all the figures are marked "JIM", not this anteater.

A friend found this lot : The bull is know as Cyrnos, all are of the same material. They are like Clairet, but with some differences. Cyrnos or not Cyrnos ... question

These are great!

Can anyone tell me -- Christophe perhaps? -- what the name (in French and English) of the Starlux man standing next to the figures pictures above is? The little guy wearing the gold suit -- it looks like an old fashioned swimsuit, or exercise suit? I'm really curious. (And I'd like to search eBay for one of these human figures, which is a wonderful "reference" figure for scale.)

The Starlux man is a Clairet tamer (dompteur in French). Wink

Nevertheless, it is sometimes called Tarzan or Akim on eBay.fr

My love for the French brands grew when i saw the first pictures of collections, and the wide range in species they had in their range, which was awesome for the time they were made.
Christophe made this love only bigger, and the modelling of Clairet is awesome in art-deco style, which came from France of course, although they were made in later area's...
I do have a big Acedo Flamigo, boxed as well, i don't think to many people can say this...
