| I am working on several projects at the same time, the sable is one, the new set of trees is another but the one I want the most is to be able to make bigger species of birds. One that I have liked from the beginning is a stork called a lesser adjutant. It is an Indian species, very closely related to marabu storks so I decided to try to make one. I still have to finish the feet, and thin out the legs, they are way to thick for a bird like this one, but still I am improving with each sculpture I do. Here is the bird as it stands right now, when I sand down the legs and finish the paint I will post another photo. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I am still having trouble with the feet, but I have improved the legs to the point that I like them. I have made 4 total, but one isn't done and can't stand on it's own so he isn't in the photo but here are the other 3 [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Thanks for the compliments, I have enjoyed making them. I still need a lot of practice to make figures that will be right up front like Ana's but I am not unhappy with the bulk of the sculptures, I have decided to redo all of the feet, I am not happy with the ones in the photo.
Making sure all of the figures are in different poses was one of the two main reason I have them custom made, no two animals are ever in the same pose even if they are doing the same thing like eating, their feet or ears are not in exactly the same position. The other and even more important reason was I wanted species that just are not made by the toy brands, or if they are made they are not in scale with each other. |
