The bison is ok, the whitetails are ok too, but the antler pedicles bother me.
Schleich has not impressed me very much this year.

MmmK, in my opinion, most of these are much better than last years. The only figures I can think of now that are a little odd (after a brief overlook of them, I would check them out more when I have more time) are the lioness and white tail buck. Some of those (the bison!!!) are great. I like how there are several new species here, and a chipmunk! However, company pics can be deceiving so...  

Mostly great animals, and the bayala fantasy animals are a must have.

Gibbons, mandrills, the squirrel monkey, seagull, fruitbat and another, we have a lot of new and never seen animals there.

I don't like the hedgehog, because of the leaves. And for the fallow deers i expected roe deers.

Funny how Mandrill and gibbons looks so similar to the Papo Versions. The brands just copy each other, ridiculous!

Given that most models are just remakes and that they now brought back a revised pot bellied pig perhaps next year we will get a revised Oryx. Such a shame that one can predict such things.....where is the excitement?  

the roe deer has been done already 2 times, fallow deer has never been done

I am impress with the gibbons, lioness and panda!

They did again!! Wooden, grooved horns on the bison, just like the longhorn bull.

I'm actually quite impressed with all of the wildlife releases, especially the sawfish  Even though I'm mostly a sea life person, I'm glad that at least one company realized the lack of primates in the market, even though they're well known species. I do agree, the hedgehog looks weird with the leaves laying down. Now if only they could to a re-sculpt of the current polar bear adult and cub to make them a little more realistic and not so cartoon-y.

These aren't mostly remakes, at least half (of the wild animals) are never before done by Schleich, or never before done by a big brand. I wasn't expected SO many new primates, or a chipmunk, or a bat, or a sawfish etc. Of course Farm animals are repeated since the ones easily recognized would sell better, though I would appreciate some new breeds in that department.
And as mentioned before, they aren't fallow deer, they are white tail.  

Thanks for the photos--I love the new lioness...so much detail. The teeth may be a little too thick but like the overall look.

Every price information is only 90 % sure yet, because I had to change the currency to get the price groups. Bryan will add that soon I think.

And judging from my latest news there will be some new dinosaurs in may 2014. But I'm not allowed to say more yet.

Well I was like... pandas?? Again?? Every year new panda... but these new pandas are looking really great. Also bison but I was hoping for another pose... Also deers are nice, donkey foal, gibons are ok and mandrill too. It is not that bad

As expected, most of retired figures were replaced by new versions what was obvious with North American wildlife. White tails are surely better than previous, bison . Other replaced figures look nice, pandas aren't needed but they look pretty although hedgehog is uninteresting.
The big plus are primates, when we see on other brands something somewhat similar to Schleich, most people get shocked and comment that they're copies, here it looks only Numaan noticed that gibbon and mandrill are chubby copies of Papo figures. Though they're good news but the only I am planing to get is the squirrel monkey. As Schleich is not able of making realistic figures when they're not cute, squirrel monkey and chimpmunk are excelent ideas to that brand.
Sawfish is also an unexpected release. Puffin doesn't look very nice but is different from those of other brands, must check in real, on the other hand, I enjoy very much the gull, that is the perfect pose for it.
Bat is also interesting! Lioness is really a poor looking figure, mainly face is quite toyish and keeps the bad tradition of Schleich with big cats.
Concluding and considering my low expectations about the brand, I must say it looks a positive year to me, not excelent but positive, both in diversity and apparently in quality. Equine range is clearly the 2014 victime without a single new breed and all that fantasied style. :)
