Schleich 2014 (List with pictures, and colours)

Okay, here's my opinion. I'm happy to see more primates and a chipmunk (finally). And it's official I'm bad at guessing, since all my 3 bird guesses were wrong, but I like the gull very much and the pose of the puffin, but overall he looks odd. A big yes for the saw fish! Also good to see a bat in a schleich size. So, what species of a bat is it exactly? Maybe some STS experts can explain, because I don't know anything about bats!
But, instead of the white-tailed deers, they should make other deer species, fallow, sika or mule deer. Wouldn't it be great to see a chinchilla instead of another rabbits?
Lioness is creepy, also why not make a new puma instead. Pandas look great, but how about other bears, I'm dying to see a sunbear!
I also noticed a decline in numbers, last year there were 22 wild animals + 7 sealife in may, this year only 20. Farm life animals: last year 11, this year 6. Well horses and dogs stay the same 14 and 5, but really those horses and dogs are just horrible.
The main thing that's missing are antelopes. Now that gazelle is retiring, no antelopes in Schleich range. This is the biggest disappointment!

But flying fox IS a bat It belongs to Chiroptera order, just like any other bat.

That's right but flying foxes and bats are in two diferent Subfamilies

But still, order Chiroptera is called bats in many languages :)
Flying foxes belong to Megachiroptera suborder (not subfamily), and are often called also megabats or fruit bats

I commented already in other topic but yes, I need say it again, I'm quite HAPPY with Schleich range for next year!
I will think about getting all monkeys, it's great they do 3 species of primates this year!!! I will also add chipmunk and probably also bison to my wishlist. I adore new sheep family and little donkey. That's a lot of figures to buy! I consider getting gull as well.    
I definitely dislike puffin, rabbits attached to don't know what and this souvenir seahorse and pot bellied pig (what a strange face) None of the dogs looks interesting to me. 
About new pandas and polar bear I don't have any opinion, I will have to see them in real. But it's good they replaced the sitting panda (did they actually or they have 2 adult ones now?) because that was bad looking one.
Deer are just very nice, many times better than old ones, especially new male is a big improvent
Lioness' face is quite horrible indeed  
I don't know yet what to think about this bat/flying fox. What species is that actually?

Definitely primates , whitetailed deer family ( much better than previous ones) and new bison, truly a magnificent figure, fine texture detail and most natural than the chubby stuffed that precedes him.
What about sizes ?

The chipmunk, bat and the squirrel monkey are on my buy list! Hope the lioness is looking better in RL... And I miss some marine mammals Hope to see the next year (new sperm whales, boto, other dolphins, etc.)

My guess is if there is more there will probably be dinosaurs and some more sealife in their may releases category.

At last, we have more Playing Rabbits-there can' be too many of them...and unfortunately, no playing kittens-whats going on, Schleich, where are the kittens or playing puppies for Change ?

The Monkeys are looking very strange,especially the Gibbons and the Squirrl Moneky-what happend to his face ? Looks similar to a Persian Cat...

The Doneky Foal and the Deer are nice, but thats it. I think, the adult Panda is the "best looking"of all of them.I will buy him defenitely, but maybe not the rest of them.It depends on how they are look in Real. The Bison is not that good-the older Version is much better,also Collectas Bison. The lioness is ugly-like all the new big cats from Schleich.

Generally, another "Wow-dissapointing Year of that Brand, and it was the right decison, to stop collecting this brand.I can now look for some of the colour variations of older models, and, of course, I can save all my Money for Collecta,Mojo and Papo-I have to tell that Schleich, but nevertheless they don't care about it.

I think that's the paint.  

It probably one of two things, either the lighting when they took the photo of the figures, or they placed a light dusting of white to add contrast or detail to the figure.

The bison is fairly nice. I only wish they had made his face just a little bit longer. It looks kind of scrunched up. I will still probably get him and the white tails though. :)

I think it is the last one, the dusting of white paint.  

I'm surprised: for the first time in YEARS I'll buy Schleich miniatures: the flying fox (great bet!), the little monkey, the chipmunk and the gull. That's it.
Why do companies copy each other? Why the same lar gibbon release just this year by Papo? They colored the baby differently, so why not present a different adult.
I'd love to see something like that, a Northern white-cheeked gibbon
