This Pygmy sperm whale is really beautiful and better than the previous one IMHO. Very Happy

Nevertheless i have a question for Sea life specialists: The sideways position of the tail seems a little odd to me, it looks like a reptile or a fish position confused

For me a cetacean tail is moving up and down, not left to right. scratch

Is it the pic ? Am I wrong ?

Maybe it's like the position of the tail of the Pilot whale's and the Ganges river dolphin's?

So, Numaan, is this all the releases for the year? or are there a few more? I'm pretty impressed with their interest in ungulates (particularly Asian species) and their interest in canines. Being a canine lover, I like all the new species. Very Happy

An email I received from CollectA said they are working on photos for the May releases. Wink

Mostly. I received photos of all the ones Numaan posted today, along with the dinosaur posted by Takara and the horses by me. The message said all of those are January models (as well as the other previously shown ones, by Numaan) except two, which were not said, that are May releases. It looks like we will have a pretty good number of CollectAs for 2014! cheers

We won't know the May releases til later this month and into early next month. I joined CollectA's emailing list not expecting to get the new 2014 pictures and at the bottom of the email it said they were working on the photos for the May releases.

Yes, cetaceans do move their tails up and down rather than from side to side like fish, but if they are in a turning or a jumping position their tails can appear to be moving like a fish:

The Pacific white-sided dolphin from CollectA appears to be in a "present" position, commonly seen during shows in aquariums:

CollectA most likely thought it would be boring to have all of their marine mammals in one similar swimming position.

About the Pacific white-sided dolphin, the "Show" pose is probably the reason I don't like him.
