Here is the photo of the new Black-backed jackal in a walking pose. To me the image represents a jackal in search of food and ready to hunt and stalk at any moment.... Very Happy

That's outstanding. Much more detailed than the old Schleich version.

My expectations for Collecta have been high for the last couple of years. They still never fail to meet and exceed them. ='

Oh, I haven't guessed, I thought you were releasing an African wild dog, sometimes it is good not to guess. :)
Though, I could ask why a black-backed jackal and not a golden jackal for example? But, considering the improvement it represents from the retired Schleich, I only have to feel happy seeing this wonderful figure. Very Happy

It is also interesting that despite its dynamic pose, legs are much slender than those of the aforementioned figure. So I only have to conclude that the reason of Schleich figures having thick legs is not their poses but to be able of supporting the weight of their heads. affraid

Great Addition to my Little Africa Savannah Diorama-so now we still need an aardwolf, an ethoipan wolf, Brown hyena ,Golden jackal and Striped Jackal to complete the collection of the large african canids...

Maned wolf in 2013, this jackal for 2014, I wonder what will come in 2015? A dhole or a dingo? scratch

I love this one, it is my 2nd favourite after the Tasmanian devil! Congrats, well done again! cheers

Pretty much, Schleich needs to start hiring some better sculptors and getting better ideas on figures fast, or they won't last long.
