Regarding Schleich and CollectA: I think that Schleich has a stranglehold on the market and it'll be hard for other companies to make much of dent in that. It would be great if Schleich's sale were genuinely more threatened, but I doubt it's the case in Europe and North America. The fact that companies like CollectA and Mojo exist is a blessing though. I hope they flourish.

I will not compare with Schleich because their jackal was from the last decade. The CollectA is of course more modern.

Indeed , this model doesn't need to be compared. If this pic is not lying, it is for me the same kind of icons than Papo lioness and tigers

Nevertheless, this model seems really excellent   Other models lack competitions and it doesn't mean they are as good as this one

Schleich one is just Jackal so it could be any species    CollectA is more specific.

Here some pictures from the black-backed jackal I received as a present from Collecta. I'm happy to be one of the first on having this beautiful canid. As in Tasmanian devil I think the head is a little bit big, but the rest is totally perfect. The scale is aprox 1:8 - 1:12

The figure is fantastic, congrats   

It looks when companies try to make these animals with perfectly proportionate small heads, figures loose atractiveness. So, they keep making them somewhat large. Well, as long as it is not exagerated it is fine. Also it is an interessting species and an animal with a beautiful pose. I want it and congratulations once more.
