| I don't know about the orange strip. This ostrich is a male like it is the other ostrich. No females. In Schleich, only ostriches with extra thoes and nails. This one is the best Schleich ostrich of ever and with a beautiful pose. However, my choice was CollectA ostrich. :) I also enjoy the work Schleich performes with mallards painting. |

| Congrats! The duck doesn't seem to bad, I might get it. The orange stripe on the ostrich is probably just a factory flaw, or from another figure that rubbed against it. |

| My First Cat. the Lynx Eurasian Lynx. This is the largest of the lynx species. like the Artic fox, they change color during the seasons. They prey on various animals ranging from small creatures such as rabbits and squirrels, to Large ungulates such as chamois and Deer (which they hunt a lot during the winter months when smaller creatures are less abundant)

| A bobcat or Canada lynx would be more suitable for a North American Cittizen. A nice female Eurasian lynx. |

| I moved the Ostrich walkaround here to include facts. I hope there accurate enough Ostrich. when it comes to being the biggest bird in the world, The Ostrich has only a few competitors, and all are in the struthioforme category. The social behavior of an ostrich varies depending on the seasons. When its winter, they spend time either with a another ostrich or alone, and when its mating season, they will gather up in groups and move along with other herds of animals. Despite popular belief, they do not burry there heads in the ground like in some cartoons, but tuck there neck into there wings tom make it appear as a bush. besides camouflage, they can also run away from danger, or latterly kick it away from them. An Ostrich's kick is very lethal, and is strong enough to affect a lion. not surprisingly, they are not common prey item for the king of the savanna. BTW does anyone know a different place to research animals online besides Wikipedia?

Perhaps it would be a good idea for a Subject... "Links to good sites of info about animals" ??? PS, I tried National Geographics, but they make a lot of fuss...you have to be a member, and I HATE that _________________ SUSANNE |

| Just in. a Gift from a Kind Crocodilian Roe Deer Roe Deer Found in Scotland, Roe Deer are a small species of Deer, with the males being bigger then the females. they are distinguished by there three point antlers, and a really small tail. In summer, the males get highly aggressive due to it being the rutting season, and in winter there coats change to darker colors. They are also prey for Eurasian Lynx, and Humans, and are common roadside victims. The Handsome Roebuck. Sorry about the tag, I plan on leaving it on for a while in honor of its original owner.
