This one made me laugh when I saw it, but its still a good model. I don't know much about dinosaurs but still.

I don't collect any dinosaurs figures, but this one looks pretty. I will see maybe I'll buy it.

I think this is a great figure, but maybe, if not fully feathered, I would have preferred it with a few superfluous feathers in less... and a more curved beak.

Good looking one and with a realistic touch. Good dinosaurs don't have to be only accurate but also convincent. After the other 2014 joke it is good to see this interpretation.

Yes this dinosaur really existed, though it wasn't ferocious as it was a herbivore.

You have the right to laugh. Thirzinosaurs were among the most Bizarre dinosaurs out there

Still, I'm going to lead with a minor complaint. The arrangement of feathers on this model is a little off-putting. As SommoDracorex suggested above, I would prefer to see them add more feathers, so that the longer feathers on the arm don't stand out so much. To see some examples of nicely feathered Therizinosaurus, look HERE and HERE. (I realize of course that a plastic model along the lines of the heap of feathers that John Conway painted would be a bit odd, but I'd still like to see a more natural-looking distribution of feathers.)

Those are minor complaints though. For the last few years CollectA has been giving us utterly fabulous extant animals and they are now really improving their dinosaurs. I was already a fan of their non-deluxe Therizinosaurus and I like this new one too. It is definitely a much more accurate representation of a Therizinosaurus than the 2014 Schleich version. I'm fascinated by the schleich model, but the head on it is just all sorts of wrong.

Therizinosaurs are really bizarre dinosaurs as Takama said. The thing I like in this model is you are feeling the bizarre thing of the animal without feeling a too odd animal.

@ SommoDracorex: I agree for the beak but I must say your model have less personality then the CollectA one, without those feathers it is more basal. I prefer the original.

@ Scott: Conway's drawings are amazing, the artist have a real style and I am a fan for years now.   Nevertheless, 3D and 2D dinosaurs are different things. I would enjoy a slothy therizinosaurus model, it would be more original, maybe more beautiful, but less spectacular and crazy than the CollectA. The natural-looking distribution of feathers would help to make a natural-looking therizinosaurus but is it really what we need ? I'm a bird figurine collector and I love to collect birds with strange beaks, heads or feathers...   IMHo the CollectA therizinosaurus is on the Cassowary, calao, greater prairie chicken or even turkey side  .
