CollectA 2014: WILDLIFE - Mountain Nyala (88689)

Once again CollectA deliver the most beautiful and incredible animals of 2014. Each year the figures just keep getting better and better. Thank you CollectA, you alone make this hobby so much fun !!!

I totally agree with you.  Anna's work is absolutely stunning and not comparable because it is a different Nyala species, but even if CollectA made the other Nyala I would still hesitate to compare models because there is always room for more than one great piece of work

They now need a female to walk along with him. Great pose and detail.

This is great!! Love the pose, like he is sniffing out some sent.

It looks very nice. The only thing I would change is straighten the horns out a little bit and move the eyes a bit.

Collecta is now defenitely the Number One Brand, in the choice of species as in Quality of the figures. Mojo 2014 is a big Dissapointment,( no Need to talk about"Schleich"-that brand is dead ) but Collecta has another phantastic year-I hope, they will keep it also in the future.

Some more photos of the Mountain Nyala Prototype. I am particularly proud of this model. The model will be reduced in size a little and there will be some adjustments to the face and horns. This aside I attach photos with other Schleich and CollectA models for comparison.

Nice to see the asymmetry of the strips and also that legs are vertically under the body.
I like it a little better on catalogue picture but I know a place where I'l like it even better!

You're right Numaan, the horns should be set a little closer each other, and also the eyes should be adjusted. But this figurine is amazing. Definitely top in my hit list!
One more thing, according to my knowledge, all Strepsicerotini have white dots above each hooves. CollectA did it with their giant eland. So I think this mountain nyala figurine should have the dots, too. Am I right about my knowledge? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

I agree for the legs of this magnificent model    I hope the final painting will be as good as the prototype one    I have sold my Noah's pals mountain nyalas so I will don't need to find a place, it is free

After looking at all the 2014 releases, I gotta say this one is probably the best, at leats a top 3 (with Mojo lion and Papo snow-leopsrd - still need more pics)
