Schleich Fjords family for 2014 :-)

The last couple of days I got some fantastic news   

Let me start with the Fjords from Schleich, because I have been so exited to get them, - especially the stallion.
There is no doubt he is a Schleich model, ..I don't know why they have begun to make their eyes almond-shaped...but he IS a charmer

Congrats Susanne! I much prefer the old guy compared to the new ones. The neck is just odd on the new one.

Congrats I like the mare better. because of these photos I want the mare now XD

I'm very pleased to finally see some good pictures of these

They are VERY sweet!

The Stallion sure looks like he's going to melt hearts in huge amounts   
The mare looks kind of cheeky cute too ..   

I agree, the eyes of newer Schleich horses have become strangely shaped.. I think it fits these more than some other models... Like the Clydesdale Gelding... He has odd eyes.. And the Appaloosa stallion from last year..

And... Have Schleich grown in scale? The new Fjord looks much larger than the old one. He even fits with the CollectA Charmer. Or do Fjords just exist in different sizes?

Also, the dark in their manes have a different shade. The Mare has more brownish .. But I suppose fjords can vary like that, in real life?

Carola : The new Fjords are rather large, but most of the wild animals are rather small, - and the dogs ave very small !

The size of Fjords can vary from 135 to 166 according to wikipedia, that is quite a difference. Like most small horses they have obviously become larger as they changed from the horse of the little farms, to riding animals.

The dark part of the mane should really be black, because the base colour is bay ( Black mane/tail ).
But the mane/tail of smal "natural" breeds, the mane/tail is often "sunbleached", even if there isn't much sun

Congratulations with the newcomers, and thank you for sharing photos of the new fjords.
They are really a cute family.   

They are not in the stores her yet, but I will buy them all in january.
Interesting to see them with fjords from other brands and with the old Schleich fjord.    

Aww so cute! Too cute indeed xD I´ll get them because I like them anyway but I prefer the old Schleich, are much more realistic than the new ones.

I feel that even Schleich Fjords suffer from anthropomorphization . They really don't match my style, I don't know if neck is weird of mane is too extreme. Stallion almost don't have shape. It looks an outdated toy to me and I also like older version best. Also, considering this new fairy world of Schleich, I think CollectA Fjord would make a much better work than this new stallion from Schleich. The mare is completely uninteresting to me, I would hardly know it was a Fjord and this is one of the most recognizable breeds of the world. The Mojo fjord, even more your special version, belongs to a different level of quality in my opinion. I am surprised you haven't pictured it with the Bully Fjord stallion. :)
The fact of not appreciating them doesn't remove me for congratulate you for these new additions. Although I voted in the Fjord as the most promissing, it looks my favorite 2014 Schleich horse will be a heavily braided one!

Congrats on acquiring these new Fjords, Susanne. I don't think they are quite as well-designed as the original Schleich Fjords, however...  

I like this Fjords, too. The mojö one is also nice.

Oh, I like them! They don't look quite as good as the older one, but they aren't ugly to me either. Congrats!

About the horses, well frankly I expected worse. The mare brings back some fond memories of fjords I saw in Bratislava ZOO where some fjords had the same "haircut". Maybe she'll be the only Schleich horse from 2014 in my collection, but as always with Schleich I need to see them in real first.
And I'd love to see the primates presented by you! Congratulations!

Congrats Susanne. They are cute and the coat looks smooth. However, the eyes are strange and the head is too big for me. The mojo is the best, I think but I don't collect the horses and I'm not a specialist.

Mare seems to have a bit too short face   but in general cute figures and nicely painted

Yes, you guessed!!! I am a open minded person, but when I think in a 12 years old boy completing his collection of Schleich horses and buying Princess or that Arabian, I am sure he won't show it to his friends. He will feel like he is showing his first bra! The Friesian mare has not a cute but an apparently spectacular set of braids in a powerful body. A kind of dark Princess but with a coolest style. I hope it is also good as a horse figurine.

I absolutely understand that with the first bra thing   You are probably right, that many male 'collect them all'- collectors will ponder their way of collecting when encountering the Arabian..  

According to the photos I've seen, mostly on MPV german forum, the Friesian mare could quite possibly end up being the 'best' of the year, IMHO. Her anatomy looks fine, with no extra cuteness, and her pose looks dynamic.
I can't believe it's the same person who sculpts all the horses....
