Schleich 2014 - Polar Bear Cub 14708

Hi all   

In the Christmas package with the Arabian Mare, was also this little fellow 

I think he(or she) is very sweet, and a pretty fine polar bear cub. Not too big eyes for once   (Made in Germany version).

And with his family, old Polar mum and CollectA/Procon cub  I don't have any of the other Schleich Polar Cubs to compare with... but I really think the '14 cub looks a lot better than the other one currently on the market..

Congrats! I like this one better than the current one and the previous one that was retired. I think the adult polar bear's face is too pointy and she's a bit rounder. I also think the other cub's eyes should be actually painted and not spray-painted (at least it looks like they are spray-painted to me) and the nails shouldn't be all black, but maybe a light gray color. I would consider buying them if the minor details I mentioned would be made.

Aw, he's terribly cute. Congrats, I really like him.

This one is definitely a pleasant surprise. I agree the "smile" is a bit much, but that's to be expected with Schleich nowadays. Thanks for the walkaround Carola! I think this is one (of very few) I will be getting this year from Schleich. Much better than the previous sitting cub IMHO!
