It is not a "Best Of" Susanne, It is the "STS 2013 Prehistoric Life animal of the year"

This top 10 has also some interesting points.
First it confirmes Papo as the most popular line of prehistoric figures. There are 3 on it. Though, Mojo performance is also remarkable, the brand, that beared a not good reputation in this particular area, is also presenting 3 figures on top10!
Two Japanese and two CollectA complete a list where Schleich, Bullyland and surprisingly Safari are not present!

Imo,the Papo Dimetrodon should win.It's one of Papo's best.

O.k., although I have all of these but the CollectA ones, this wouldn't have been my top 10 list, but that's life:) .

I'm just a bit disappointed that the Favorite Saurolophus (which is my Dinosaur figure of the year 2013) didn't make it to the finals  , but I guess this is due to the fact that most people do not even know about its existence.

I'm still surprised about the popularity of the CollectA Diabloceratops. If I didn't know better you could tell me it's a Chinasaur  .
Seeing it together in the finals with Kaiyodo's version makes me smile.

Papo's "Dimetrodon grandis" obviously, well for me anyways, here's the one I have compared the the Bullyland "Edaphosaurus pogonias":

I confess I'm also surprised to see the CollectA Diabloceratops on this list. (But not at all surprised that it hasn't yet received any votes -- at the time of my writing this at least.) CollectA's superb work with their extant animals has not yet shown up in their prehistoric line (maybe 2014 will change that -- some of their upcoming models look promising).

I would have liked to have seen more models from Kaiyodo and Favorite/Kinto. Along with the Papo Carnotaurus and Dimetrodon, it's the set from Favorite and some of the Kaiyodo that really impressed me. The set from Favorite was amazing. I'm happy to see the Styracosaurus above, but the Allosaurus, the Tyrannosaurus pair, the Spinosaurus, the Ankylosaurus -- and even the Parasaurolophus and Velociraptor -- were all pretty fantastic too. What a great set.

that's the STS magic, even a CollectA chinosaur can reach the final contest    and still have no votes   

Next year, I hope more dinos collectors will participate to the top 10 elaboration

Favorite have a superb Dinosaurs range, I wish one day they will make some wild animals sets   

And me,I'm a little dissappointed the Wild Safari Diabloceratops' not appearing there in the poll at least.It's a great model.
