| Today was an impressive day. and some new perspectives. I could visit the world's biggest toy fair, saw two of 12 halls in the end, a lot of new figurines and even more important: i met some nice people! First of all, i'd like to thank James from Mojo. A really friendly, nice and charismatic guy, with lots of love for details and professional overview. I took some pictures of the booth, other brands will be represented here soon, as i accidently met Yurumi (Ralf) there, who had some monster of a camera with him! So this thread isn't meant to be advertising for Mojo only,.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]So let's start with,....Mojo 2014 will be grat! the lions are great, the Pangolin is even more beautiful in real than any picture can capture. i also like the sunbear better now, although i miss some folds on the forehead. the zebra's nice as well, the highland cattle is extremely well done. But ladies and gentlemen: the sulawesi macaque, it is a dream. Amazing figurine, same with the boar. The Thylacine has to be judged when repainted. the komodo dragon's paintjob is better than on pictures, i thought of reworking it a little as the pose and the general habitus still remind me of a stuffed specimen. Last century. "animal planet" will soon be better known as Mojo, comparable with "kleenex" or "Tempo" for tissue,...The new horses seem to be great as well, although i don't know anything about them. CollectA: I have to revise my opinion concerning the narwal. i need it! it's awesome, and better than the safari monterey one in some points. Springbok is also better tha on pictures, although the legs are still shorter than they should be. the leatherback turtle is wrong to me, looks like a deformed hatchling. Jackal, mufflon, barbary sheep, the absolutely fantastic bowhead whale (way better than the sloppy painted safari one), the brilliant pygmy hippo, the fantastic mountain Nyala and fallow deer, they make some problems less important: the pygmy hippo calf is to big compared to the adult, especially the head (again!) seems to be a little oversized. The face of the diana monkey looks more like a witch or a wizard tranformed to a human-like monkey,...The black bear has some similarties with the hungarian pig. The fur seems comparable. But i like the face! the pygmy sperm whale is really awesome, less obvious spraypainted, only the joint is a little ugly,... Tasmanian devil and cassowary are more than beautiful, they're hard to beat candidate for best figurine,...! But. the anacaonda has such fantatstic detail, but proportions, pose, oversized head and slender body: all no-gos,....The water buffalo is terribly impressive and will look good and fantastic with the Mojo Gaur! Unfortunately, the legs of the wild ass were still very short,.... Safari: very professional atmosphere, contact to a german retailer who might also have some old stock. I am asked to send him a list and he will see. He also sells to private customers. So let me know, i hope for some old reptiles, evertebrates and maybe prehistorics,.... Cave dwellers toob: i will buy it. Deep sea creatures: nice sculpts, less paintjob. Cryptozoology. more or less unpainted,....Incredible creatures. the Gouldian finch looks very real, the piranha is a shiny piece of art. Dinosaurs: i don't know enough about them, but the Megalodon is not that good,...Wildlife wonders: The wolf sculpt is awesome, the regular willdlife news are nice but painted as usual with thick coats of paint,...Pecary and anhinga are nice sculpts but will have to be repainted as well. The new dolphin is as odd as in the pictures. i like the head details of the pilot whale, the thresher shark looks like a gummi bear and to me the bowhead whale is rude painted,.... Papo. well, the snowleopard is better than expected but the head reminds me of....the jaguar! nice paintjob, really, but weird figurine. The new male lion has awesome details such as mane, mouth and so on,but unfortunatley, i guess to achieve such fantastic details, the face is an extra part, made off two pieces and attached. the dog breeds were awesome, same with the really fantastic beluga. The loggerhead turtle is really good, better than the CollectA one in my opinion, despite of the "fissure". Wings and tailfeathers of the macaw are to short. the octopus is fantastic, same with the proportions of the hippo. We stronlgly disagreed with the zoo, which is a prison-toy for kids,..not very educational. But our favourite figurine was: the fantastic detailed wolf cub! Better than the adults and the best wolf cub available. Schleich: i didn't visit the booth. Wild republic: only plush toys, at least as far as i have seen

| I will have to get that wolf cub ASAP, I trust your opinion on it. Thanks for sharing the pics from Mojo, the boar is big but marvelous. I also enjoyed reading your post and opinions about the brands. Thanks for sharing this. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | @Robert: oops. Mr. Freud..... the problem of this fair: it's not public. And some people representing companies might be less into a certain hobby than you might imagine,...i won't tell which ons were the rudest, but some are more interested in consumers than others. I also didn't know how big the chinese community actually is, how many repainters there actually are,...I hope Ralf finds some time the next days. Except for Mojo, numaan already posted some pictures from London. @Ana: Yes, it would be nice to meet you there next year. |

| Hi everyone, yes the Nuremberg Toy Fair was really impressive. I would like to cordially thank Mojo for all the interesting information, very very nice staff, led by James, the great new models and that I could take photos. Also all other major brands were very cooperative and friendly. And very happy of course made me the chance meeting with Philip, it was really nice to be able to talk with opinions and information. Philip, sorry for my bad english and thank you for your help with some translations. And yes, I'll post the pictures later _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Sorry, my English is not so good, I hope You understand me [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| ...my first Station was Safari LTD. with a very friendly people and a nice presentation, which incidentally applies to all brands. I think Philipp has said everything about the new models and it's largely agree with my opinion, but everyone feels it differently Here some pics of Safari LTD.: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]...soon it goes on...
