Lots of hard work ´til christmas Empty
PostSubject: Lots of hard work ´til christmas   Lots of hard work ´til christmas EmptySat 18 Dec 2010, 01:09

This year, I decided not to buy any christmas gift, instead I´m gonna make a clay-figurin for every member of my family, wich means 7 different figures.

First, I had to decide what to make them. Some were easy, while other where realy hard to come up with something good to make.

But finaly I think I came up with pretty good ideas for al of them.

The thing is, it takes from 4 to 10 hours to make one figure, and I have to make 7 Shocked

So thats a lot of hours of hard work. Rolling Eyes

It feels like I havent had time to do anything else for the last couple of days, and I still have two figures left to make... And then I have to paint all of them..............pale

It seemed like such a good idea at first, now I´m not so sure Sleep

The most annoying thing about doing these figures, is that I spend hours and hours of sculpting, and when it´s finaly finished, I find lots of things on it that I dont like. I´m not extremly happy with any of the figurines I made so far, but I´m krossing my fingers that they will look better when they are painted. Rolling Eyes

I will try to have them all finished by sunday evening, and then I will show you some pics of them (if I can borrow the camera from my dad)

PostSubject: Re: Lots of hard work ´til christmas   Lots of hard work ´til christmas EmptyMon 20 Dec 2010, 00:10

Ok, so it´s sunday evening (well accually it´s the middle of the night) and....

I´m not finished No

I didnt realise it would take about 4-6 hours to paint each figure, so I´m only done with two of them.

Wich means I will have less than 4 days to paint the other 4 (the last one I have to wait with, otherwise I´m never gonna be finished) and I also have my regular jobb al week pale

I´m never gonna make it affraid

The only good thing is that I´m pretty happy with the two I have already finished...

Kross your fingers that I will make it in time for christmas silent

And I promise you, I will show you pics of them as soon as all are done :)

Thanx guys cheers

I accually think all of them like their gifts Very Happy

Even thou my dad had to comment on some small mistakes I made on his wolf Rolling Eyes

The funny thing is, when I made the figures, the horse was the one I was the least happy with, I didnt like it at all. But when I had painted al of them, the horse was the one I was the most happy with. What a little paint can do Laughing

Well now I´m not going to do any new figures for a while, need to rest Laughing

Merry christmas santa

Ye, your right and I do like a little constructive criticism, but after working an entire week on the figurines (and I mean an entire week, didnt have time to do anything else at all) I didnt want to hear any criticism Laughing

But now, after a few days, I can appreciate it Very Happy
