Yes it is. It is a pity I can't display the watering hole here or in my new apartment, but as soon as Vincent and I live more roomy I plan to buy an ikea table and paint it like a serengeti so I can display it.

I rarely like lion male figures. They often look toyish and sometimes quite silly. However, I like more and more that roaring lion from Papo. It is an impressive figure! it is a pity I don't need more lions but I don't know how long I will resist.

Not sure about my strong fascinating with lions as much, as with tigers, but I do like PAPO and Schleich models, so can't stand not to bought them. Impressive quality...

A flocked lion pride. The male was bought in a late flee market, in 1984.


Here are my flocked lions. Both my males have a mane made of rabbit fur.

Thirty years ago, I would rather often see copies of the large, open-mouthed one. However, today, it seems that very few have survived, because I hardly ever see them now...
