Tarunyada's Homemade Models

You may remember some of my 'older' sculptures I showed you over a year ago. I started with a 'realistic' looking wolf as a school project, than I made a chibi-style wolf as gift for a friend. I made another one for another friend, but it isn't painted yet (and at my father's house, so I can't photograph it right now). I also made a sculpture of a wolf statue from Game of Thrones with a cool clay with a stone structure. But here on the forum are some pretty amazing sculptures who gave me some inspiration to do another sculpture again! I tried to make another realistic one. This time I made a.. Bat eared fox! D*** those ears killed me xD It's in the oven right now (I hope he'll survive D: ), but I made some photographs after sculpting. Here he is:

Ofcourse I'll make photographs when he's finished! I'm going to paint him. Tips and critics are welcome, I'd love to improve my sculpting! cheers

My little bat-eared fox survived the oven. I'll be going to my father's house next Thursday, where my paint is. Ofcourse I'll show you photographs of him as soon as possible!

Today I found my Super Sculpey and sat down to make a new model! cheers

Since my love for tapirs I decided to make a little Malayan tapir calf. Here you can see him at an early stage:

Then I added the details. Those toes really frustrated me; everytime I finished one foot, I had to redo the others ): I'm not really content about the legs; they remind me about the legs from a lion cub, or something. But I really like his head:

And in the oven he went! He came out very well, he only sagged through his front legs, but I still really like this little critter. Here you can see him with his adult Schleich friend:

I wanted to add some fur structure, but I was afraid I would demolish his body (as had happened multiple times before >.<), so I just finished him like this Wink

Definitely going to paint him! cheers

I'm working on a new wolf sculpture right now. I wanted to make an Indian wolf, but it turned out way too big, so I guess it just has to be a gray wolf now D':
