| I loved reading your blog post about him yesterday, I read it just after a (very long) English and science exam - it made a nice distraction for me I hope he places well at the show |

I sure hope so. Last time it ran until 9PM... that wasn't fun!
Can't be any word than the last time I was at the GLC. I'm not sure how late it ran but they were only half way through the class list at 8pm, I gave up at that point. |

We got out at 8pm yesterday, I would be furious if they were only halfway at 8pm! How far did you have to drive home after that? |

| I was staying at the hotel they were holding the show at because it was a 2 day show at the time. I refused to go back after that year! Although I'm guessing it's much better now. |

| Well that's good! It's a wonder the showholder didn't do anything about it. |

| Already commented on pretty Argyle elsewhere, but can give him some appreciation here too He is a gorgeous model What type of breed did you make one like him to be? I'm curious And were the other who beat him, also Othellos? _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

| Thank you I showed him as a Gypsy Vanner with documentation. The first place horse in the class was my own Truffles The third place winner was my own Organized Disaster (matte Fall). |

| At the show on Saturday there were plenty of models to sell as usual. Of course I came home with some [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The two Peter Stone chips ponies were free, and the Stone WB is a neglected etchie that won't stand, he was a steal at $5. He'll be getting a new coat and probably a base of some sort to help him stand. Color suggestions on any of these? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The same person had these two Stone chips Arabs, both $5 each! The pinto is in good condition, but the liver chestnut has some issues so I'll try to restore him. If not he'll be getting a new coat as well. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Someone else was selling this Peter Stone half passing warmblood, who I think fell off a shelf looking at his damage. He has a current NAN card, which I think he won before suffering the damage. I fixed up his issues so he can show in April This is "Royal Lancer" from 2007 - run of 200. | It's not hard really, and there are still marks on the WB that I can't repair. But he's still beautiful either way and I love him |

| For a short time in my collector life, I thought it was a heresy to restore some figures. Soon, I started gaining admiration for those that can do it. Some great horse figures know surely where they will be happy and loved so I think that's the reason why so many find the way to your home. |

| Thank you Roger I'm not a huge fan of restorations either - and in most cases if the paint is too far gone I'd consider it a body. But some models have just a few rubs, or just a broken leg or missing ear, which is an easy fix to restore the model to a condition that it can bring in the ribbons once again |
