| That is the Safari Ltd 282629 Baboon Female with Baby from 2006 and discontinued since 2011. If you have it in your hands, it is marked with the brand. |

| THANK YOU! Roger and SUSANNE. You have helped me figure out the Baboon brand and that it has been discontinued.
It is rather big for my collection and I am thinking on trading it off with a small Baboon with the same quality - Are there smaller baboons?
Thanks

| That site is great - I wish they add size or scale for each figure - that could help me a lot :) |

I think Schleich baboon female is smaller, I don't know if it is enough smaller to your taste but I think so. This site (Toy ANimal Wiki) is being built by some members of our forum, it could really help size information but it is hard to put all information. Probably, Safari section will soon or later have sizes once it is the brand that shows a wider variation of sizes. :) |

1:15,4 scale means that 1 cm of the figure represents 15,4 cm in a real animal. That is an official scale from the brand and not a conjectural. As you don't collect figures in exact scale but in relative scale, it means that it is a huge rhino for you, larger than Schleich elephants although it works perfectly with some Schleich big cats. I don't have these baboons and I haven't found a single comparison picture on forum. Remember that the Schleich baboon is a long retired figure, not easy at all to find. |

| Thanks Roger for helping me understand. I use to this format 15.4 instead of 15,4 that is whay I thought the scale is 1:15 and the 4 is referring to something else.
I would be happy to see them both - when you saw that the Sch. baboon is a long time retired - that means it can be not in the same quality as the Baboon I have. I know that only recently figures got improved (not all of them - i.e. the weird Red panda).
Thanks for helping! |
