Nooo, don't regret it! It is still beautiful!

I think the new version shows off the skin texture better, and has nice subtle counter-shading. With touch-ups you could have the best of both color schemes, maybe by gently darkening the head and top of the back with grayish and lightly adding in striping similar to the first?

On a side note (excuse me for rambling on but I like dinosaurs), I've thought for a while that it would be interesting to see an updated head crest on a figure for this dinosaur. That weird shape was reconstructed from partial remains, and has been reinterpreted as a more plausible shape:

Of course it need not apply to your figure, but it's just something I thought about.

I actually like this one better than the first one. There is more depth of color, very nice!

I loved the first version a bit more too It looked wonderful with these interesting patterns.
But the new colour is very nicely shaded and is great too. Don't regret it Nando! Just repaint more dines because you're good in it!
