| What do you use exactly to sculpt them in? |

| I can't believe I missed this thread the first time.
A question on the burrowing owls if you would - after you bake the legs, how toy you support the owls when adding the legs to the body when you bake the whole figure?
And are you using Cernit? Thanks! |

| These were made with Premo!. Regarding the owls, I can't remember exactly, but I must have propped them up with some combination of wood clothespin halves, folded parchment paper pieces, or aluminum foil. Blaine, the meadow katydid will make an appearance here again one day. _________________ - Andy

| Thanks Shanti. Here is something different. Maybe a bit morbid, but I think this is the best spot to put it. I made this rooster foot and claws when a Halloween decoration was needed in 2014. It was my fastest project, with the whole thing completed in one sitting. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _________________ - Andy

| Here is an old sculpture of an alligator snapping turtle. My father has a decorative turtle collection and many years ago I made this because I thought he should have at least one snapping turtle. It is about three inches long, made from lightweight Crayola "Model Magic", and was originally colored with markers. In 2010 or 2011 I decided to fix it up, so I carved away some of the material to improve the shape of its underside, and painted it to add more detail and realism. | Thanks Andreas & Susanne. Yes, Susanne, the foot was a contribution to a theme of witch's workshop/mad scientist's lab. I hope someday I can show an improved snapping turtle sculpture, or even a little series of U.S. turtles. _________________ - Andy
