The Mojo 387182 Celebes crested macaque: A walkaround by kikimalou

Several days ago, a friend of mine sent me a little package with a Kikimalou bonzaï inside.

Thank you so much to my favourite Portuguese croc

Yesterday, I thought I had enough time to make a walkaround... Unfortunately, my battery collapsed during the session so a few pics are missing and at lest one is not very good. Since I'm not sure I will have time today, I decided to open the topic and I will complete it asap.

So here is some pics of my MiniMe

Two years ago there were very few monkeys in the range of the modern brands, - and now

Hurray for Mojo !!!
This stunning model again shows how a small and new brand as Mojo does what the lazy giants do not dare !  
A true must for any collector of wild life models !
Let's hope that this model is under the christmas tree for thousands and thousands of children this year
It is so important that they get a feeling of the diversity and beauty of the world around them

Kiki, it is great to have your walkarounds back and it is remarkable that it is a walk around of MiniYou!
Figure is really great, of course I have it too and it makes me even more happy knowing that it was your personal choice and that it was developed with your guidance. Now we have a pair of Asian friends Pango/KIKI! :) I really hope it ended in a great experience for you as a collector.

@Jonesse The texture is really nice, it is visible on the model but not too much. My pics are showing the model far bigger than it is in real life. I'm sure all the owners will agree with me

I am glad you enjoyed it! About texture, I also noticed that in your pictures it looks heavily textured but it real it is a very delicate texturing. Curiously I like the effect in your pictures as well as I like how it looks in real.

As I said, this model is smaller than the pics so every detail is enhanced on them. On the closer pics, the texture looks even more textured, I remember i had the same discussion when I showed the Safari Ltd walrus a few years ago.

Maybe in the future I will add a 1:1 scale picture on my walkaround, it could be a nice idea.

Seriously, what a fantastic experience for you to be involved in the process of producing a brand new model - how did this come about? Sorry if you've discussed this before, I've been out of the hobby for a while.... if there's another thread about it, perhaps you could share the link please.

No links about this. James, Mr Mojo himself was kind enough to show me pics during the creation process so I had the chance to give my opinion about MiniKiki and help to enhance it. I guess we made a hit

I am sure it will be a hit! Well, there was also the chance of choosing the species before the starting of the development. I hope both pangolin and macaque have good performances, it could help us collectors of having more chances of participating together with the companies.

Thanks, actually many members on forum had already the chance of reviewing some toy animal figures during their development. One of them, Mojo sloth, was discussed online with all members and who wanted... participated. That's a challenging project once a sloth is not easy to design in toy shape. Other teams participated privately in several other Mojo figures like the sable antelope, Iberian lynx and some others. I had the chance of giving my feedback in several figures but only little things. Actually, the pangolin was the project where my influence was more relevant. I am very glad you like it and that it is being very well received, however, the main praises have to go, obviously, to the sculptor.

Yes, the sculptors are true artists, bringing all these wonderful designs to life.... with some help from the painters as well.

That's brilliant that the companies are willing to work so closely with the collectors, and listen to what we really want. It makes good sense for them to do this, they give us what we want, and in return get more sales, plus plenty of praise on the forums - it's win-win all round! Unfortunately, it often seems that the bigger the company gets, the less they want to listen - they already know best!

Is it only Mojo who are doing this, or do other companies also collaborating with the collecting community?

I need to search out the Mojo sloth now..... so much to catch up on!!
