Thanks so much! :) I appreciate the kind words and the welcome! Yes, the horse in my avatar is a CollectA Morgan that I customized earlier this fall. I just love the sculptures Deb McDermott has done for them! I often work on Breyer models and artist resins, so I get very excited when CollectA has a new horse sculpture that looks realistic because they are SO much more affordable! (Some of the larger artist resins I work on are over $300 USD each, unpainted!) These models were done using layer upon layer of pure pigment and pastels. There is probably about 30-40 layers on each horse to build up the color, sprayed in between with fixative. The white areas and eyes are painted. Sorry, but I do not have a tutorial. I am not a very good teacher. :) I've been experimenting with the pigments since 2003, so lots and lots of trial and error to get to this point. But it has been fun!

I edited your post and donkey is showing directly now. It is ver beautiful really!
Just click right button of the mouse over the picture on your Facebook and choose, copy URL. Than go to your post on forum, click insert image button and with right button click paste where it appears the line to put the url and OK. Not hard at all, just try, you can always edit your post anytime you make anything wrong. :)

Your models are stunning, your pics are beautiful and your painting technique is very interesting

You wrote you don't have a tutorial. Please, take some pics on your next work and do a making-off, I'm sure it would be a great topic
