I'm not a big fan of dinosaurs, but I love to see a figure giving birth.

Very nice! In my opinion,this is by far the best prehistoric model CollectA has ever come up with.It looks like the Temnodontosaurus platyodon specimen on display in the Natural History Museum,London which should come as no surprise as CollectA is based in the UK.

I only have good words to this release, so good that I'll consider getting this figure although I am not into dinosaurs.
The species choice is excellent, reconstruction seems very good, it has a realistic looking and the idea of making a figure giving birth is delicious, I always wanted to see it with horses or gnus but I think it is easy for kids to accept that in a figure of this kind.

Another point of acuracey I like to call out on is that the color is black. There was an article earlier this year that said that they found the color of some marine reptiles and they were said to be dark. Not everyone is on bourd with this but its nice to see collecta takeing a chance

Nice temnodontosaurus

This just occured to me:
Wouldn't it be less painfull for the mother if the baby Temnodontosaurus would be born head first?
That would be a more streamlined birth I think.
The way it is born now, it looks more like a breech delivery.
Poor momma is going to be pretty sore from those vins/flippers and tail sticking out this way.

I believe its born tail first so the baby don't drown while trying to get out. as soon as its out of the body, it will go to the surface to take its first breath

That makes a lot of sense. I just Googled dolphin's birth, and the calves are born with tails first.
It would sufficate when born head first.
