Finally, after being here at the forums for over a year and a half, I have finally decided to stop being lazy and have made up my mind to post pictures of my plastic fish. Here we go. After you're done viewing these, you will notice how passionate I am about my fish and collection. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is what I like to call the "redshift" end of the reef, yellow, orange, red, and pink fish reside here. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is what I like to call the "blueshift" end of the reef, where green and blue fish reside. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is my eel cave, where 3 eels I have hide. I have a "window" in the cave where two more eels poke out. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is my lower end of the "redshift" reef. All my clownfish can be seen here. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thought I had just a few fish? HELL NO. I have almost 90. And I have 60 more to go. Here is the bird's-eye view of my "redshift" end of the reef, tons of fish are squeezed in here. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This is my VIP reef. All my damselfish sit here, and my Scythe butterflyfish do too. These are my personal faves. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is my "blueshift" reef, another angle for more perspective. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]My two Nayab eels, so cute. Here in the eel cave "window" as I mentioned earlier. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And finally, the lower reef area where all the other stuff goes. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]You can notice some of my K&M stuff. Thanks to Beatrice (Froggie). [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I adore that sexy flying fish that I stole from my ruthless neighbors just a couple years ago. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Lots of cheap China made figures here that I adore. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is my left wing of the deep-sea shelf. Where all the sharks, whales, and sea mammals besides dolphins reside. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is the right end, of my deep sea zone. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is another angle. The fish lamp I use as my background was given to me 8 years ago by my now deceased 91 year old great-grandmother, she was 84 at the time it was given to me. She lived to 90. It has a story. My great grandma visited me once (we weren't close) and she gave me and my brother gifts. This was given to me. I thought it was junk I didn't need, so I used it for a week and shelved it. It stopped working. Nearly 5 years later, I took it out, banged it a few times, and it magically lit up again! It has since been used as my special background. It is valuable to me. My fish have a good home, so whatever fish I buy or trade or steal (from the ruthless neighbors ) usually ends up in a great home! Thanks for reading, I hope to post more again in the future. PLEASE if you have any fish NOT YET SHOWN in this reef, I would be happy for a trade. Also, please have a look at my searchlist. Thank you so much!

Emma, I am super happy that you decided to share your collection. All collections are interesting even when they look all almost the same, though, yours is a very special one. Like Susanne, I've never seen anything like that, all these little figures make a fantastic collection full of colors and life. Also the stories you're telling turn it even more interesting. I'll check it several times in future, I am sure.

Thank you Roger, very much. I have worked on this for eight years. But because I can't find anymore fish from America or that anyone wants to trade, I have to take a break. But I always prize my fish so much. I have every mold and color thinkable, almost. That's my goal. Thanks to everyone, I am glad you enjoy my display. I make it my goal to make all my plastic animal displays look like a little diorama or landscape. It's truly amazing. I work very hard on it. I don't like to display my figures without a splash of fun. All my other displays have plants and posters, but none are as spectacular as my reef. |

What a very creative display of your fish. With all the added decoration, like coral, plants and shells, it feels like art. Like looking at a painting. Or like a Japanese garden where everything has its place and purpose. It's a Yinyang display! It's a dynamic balance of all things, creating a beautiful harmony. *hits gong with stolen flying fish*

Easier to check now! Your collection achieved a point where it grows very slowly and it is sometimes boring. I hope we STSers can help you finding some more figures to your colorful and fishful collection and give a new life to it.

Thanks Roger! I am good at helping other people, but never my own self it seems like. I helped Susanne find a near impossible, rare horse from Safari Ltd back in the 90's. Yet I can't even find myself a few cheap Chinese fish. Nevertheless, I love them so.
