Science & Nature 2015 figurines now available!!

MiniZoo now has stock of all 5 of the new figurines. Photos on the Science and Nature and our website are taken from the original sculpts... until official photographs of the final figures can replace them. The picture below shows the final finished product as you would buy it and factory differences in the paintwork are obvious. The beak on the owl was also modified to work better in the molding stage. The Boobook Owl is 7cm tall,
Large Bandicoot is 8cm long (measured along the ground including tail)
Small Bandicoot is 6cm long (measured along the ground including tail). Comparable size to the other small scale animals such as possum, bilby etc).
Red Belly Black Snake is 7cm across (curled up), body is 1cm wide
Brown Snake is 13.5cm measured longest point. Worth noting it would be over 35cm long if straightened out.

It seems I am a little distracted, is it the yello-eyed penguin a new figure? I don't remember seeing it and actually I'd love to get it together with these wonderful figures you're presenting here!
Yes, prices seem very good but it is surely not cheap to send it to the other side of the globe.

I never saw it,too :O Very interesting but a little disappointing that it's also a large replica. Hope it (and the owl too) will fit with the other birds from S&N :)

The Large Yellow Eyed Penguin seems something new... And unavailable now

The Yellow Eyed Penguin was actually a very old figure that S&N found in their warehouse and passed on to us late last year. Unfortunately all sold out now

I noticed a few comments about shipping costs from Australia - it may be cheaper than you think   We use DHL Global mail and the rates are very good. I've done some samples:

Cost (for the 5 new figures & including postage) to:
* Germany 19.63 Euro
* USA 22.22 USD
* UK 14.99 GBP

You're right, prices are much more friendly than I expected.
About the yellow eyed penguin, unfortunately it seems we all missed it here. Though, it is always great to know that there is something to hunt and it give us some hope that S&N has some more hidden treasures we don't know yet.

It isn't necessary Andreas I think I'll buy the bandicoots and the others from Jason on MiniZoo because shipping are only of approx 7 Eur from Australia to Belgium But thanks for your proposition :)

Hi is it possible to see an image of the two snakes next to a schleich model (another reptile perhaps) to guage the size difference? In the catalogue the two snakes are in the 'large replicas' section but I wonder whether they match the old and current Schleich snake models in terms of size or are they just too big? Please let me know.

Penguin all sold out (was an old model) and discontinued.

By the way, do you know the official reference number of that penguin? I can see a number but is very different from other large figures. Let me know and I add the link to Toy Animal Wiki.

I asked at S+N for the old penguin (found by Kiki) and the camel (announced by Oliver Zell e-shop in the past) figures.

The company answered me:
...The Yellow eyed penguin was made originally by a New Zealand company and it is no longer available. We happened to have had some items that we were test marketing in Australia and provided these to Jason at Mini Zoo. We are planning to produce a Camel within the next 12 months...

So there is very small chance to get the penguin but the camel (as introduced species!) will be re-released.

Also a camel? I love toy archeology! Many thanks for informing us, maybe the penguin belongs to the SSS collection from New Zealand fauna. For a long time we mixed SSS with S&N companies. :)
