Yowie - US relaunch

There are no markings other than "Made in China" and a number. The numbers are limited to "1" or "2" the best I can tell so they aren't collection numbers - maybe mold numbers?:

Okay, I've now gone through my final two boxes. Can't find any more anywhere other than exorbitant prices on Amazon/Ebay. Interesting distribution for these two boxes:

A better Yowie-animal ratio this time around. One box had three Yowies (including two of the same type) and the final box had just one.

The fox is beautiful - best representation yet IMHO. Here it is compared to the CollectA:



So after four boxes I'm still missing two animals (Alpaca and Clown Fish) and one Yowie. Here are images of the missing two animals from the box:



Needless to say I now have loads to trade and will update my trade/want lists shortly.

Sorry Roger, not at the moment. I'm going to keep looking for boxes but they are increasingly scarce.

Well, a best-by-Aug-2015 box revealed:

1 polar bear
1 brown bear
1 rabbit
1 beaver
1 platypus

not doing trades at this time, only listing for informational purpose.

I started looking for these this week. After buying about five boxes I have all the animals except for the fox and wombat. I will post my extras later. I bought all that my Walmart had.

Thanks for the list Wilorvise - looks like an interesting distribution pattern. Only one Yowie per box is great!

Quagga, where in Walmart did you find yours? I looked in a bunch of places in my local ones and couldn't find any, but realize they could be just about anywhere in the store.

Okay, looking at the caracal on the wiki they are clearly different. I'm judging from the photos of UK releases but, in general, the new ones seem to be more realistic and less "cartoony."

The yowies website says which stores carry (but to call to make sure they're not sold out). But the ones the hubs found were with the checkout candy... 2or 3 from bottom. Right at my kids eye level

They were at the checkout stand . On the bottom level where they have all the candy.

Yes, the fennec also confirms it once the new version seems much more realistic.

Congratulation for your catches  I wish you to find the one you missed.

Four in my want list: Fennec fox, Caracal, wombat and owl  

I took my mom to do her shopping today at one of my nearby Walmarts, and thought to look. I found them at several of the checkouts where the POP candies are; I only looked at a handful. Some were in cardboard trays, others loose on the shelf. Price was $2.48 which after tax would be about $2.63 for me. I did see one tray had an expiration date of August '15, wasn't able to check the others. I didn't get any as things are a little tight at the moment, so couldn't take the chance I'd end up with the cartoon characters. But there were plenty of them there.
