New Sculptures — Sketches and Process

Hello everyone!
Now, when I'm almost free of my exams and problems with that, I can return to my job of drawings and sculptures.
Indeed, I have a lot of new projects. Well, some are pretty old, but I want to «give them life».
And now I'm going to show some of them and ask for some advice.
Let's start from my loved canids

Wolves





Two Canis Corvus
Canis Corvus is subspecies of winged wolf, which was created by me.






Some anatomy practice:
Do you recognize Rudy's, Battat wolf's pose? But it's only one thing that I use — other deatails and sketches are just my knowledges.

From which pose should I start?
I marked them by numbers.

Oh Anasta, thank you so much for sharing these wonderful drawings - I enjoyed watching every one of them! Especially the upper wolf on the third page; what a beauty! When I'm browsing wolf art on dA, it are always the Russian artists with such amazing artwork. Wonderful, thank you!

About the borzoi: I like all poses, actually, but I think I would go with 3 and 4.2

I think the one with the tail tucked between it's legs, it is a very typical thing for the breed.

I like pose 3 three actually, but it's so much work with it Anyway, thanks for your choice

For the Borzoi, I like 3 a lot

I was lucky to see these drawings before...
but I didn`t say my choice of posture for Borzoi...and this is becouse, I also will say number 3 or number 4.2, or 4.1 ... becouse I like more expression in animal posture...but like you said...it will be more work for you....that`s why, it is better you to feel which one is better for you...and you did it :)

For the Borzoi I would choose 1.2.

Well, as your — and mine also — the most liked pose in number 3... Maybe I should start from it? You know, «if you start from the most hard work, all other things will became easy»

Anyway, other poses are just issue of time

Beautiful projects! I love Borzoi especially, I think it will be beautiful sculpture
My favourite pose from your sketches is the trotting one but I think it would be a bit difficult to balance it (number 3)

One more vote for number 3 You know, I don't think that it will be big problem: I will orientate on Breyer Great Dane photos and some my wolves.
I see problem in texture: Borzois have very long fur. It will be really difficult for me to do flying fur

I like 1.2 variation, very living pose, I think. But stalking one seemed so hard even to draw

Very beautiful sketches! I really like the winged wolf, it looks so majestic.

For borzoi, I would propably go also with pose 1 or 3. 1 is very typical for the breed and 3 has some movement without being too hard to make.
