My not so teeny tiny Schleich collection - Updated 18/08

Despite the rain I nipped into town today, and my favourite charity shop had this little cutie. Once again he only cost 10p, so I bought him home. :) My tiny collection is now at 6, and hopefully there will be many more in the future.

OK, that's it, I'm making you my official Christmas shopping helper. . Congrats again

I agree, he's soooo cute :) As for the bargains, I think i'm just getting lucky, most people around here don't seem to know how expensive Schleich animals are.

Don't tell them how expensive Schleich is, so you can keep getting these figures almost for free.

Don't worry, as far as they know it's just a plastic figure. At least I know that if I ever choose to sell my collection, i'm sitting on a small profit.

So after some success last week at the carboot, I went back this morning and came away with a pretty impressive haul. All for the bargain price of £2.50

















All my Schleich animals. If my Maths is correct they cost me just £4.10

I think lion cubs are definitely high on the agenda, they need a little family :)

I was so surprised to see them when rummaging in a box, asked the stall holder how much and almost bit her hand off for them. They have a few slight rubs, but I can't complain for such a cheap price. :)

I'm starting to wonder how those people can't know that they are selling 'cheap plastic animals' for such a low price XD

I'm scouring ebay as I type :) they need cubs, fingers crossed there will be some soon. :)

I honestly can't believe that people sell them for so cheap, a quick look on ebay shows how much people are wiling to pay, and how active the market is.

They are very fine finds.
I also find most of my figures as used toys and it is actually possible to find some, when one knows what to look for.
A little while back I found a mamut, some vild animals and some dogs in the local second hand shop for between 0,5-2 euros a piece, so I do not believe it is pure luck - it is about beeing able to spot the figures.

I agree with this, and Rakel when they say it's about being able to spot the figures. Schleich scream detail, especially in comparison to lots of run of the mill plastic animals. I went shopping again today, and this beauty was hidden in a jumble of other animals. He stood out a mile off, and I was happy to pay 10p for him :)

Yes, it's not quite so tiny any more. I'm going to need a shelf to display them all on soon
