| This is a walk around of a Kaiyodo Aqualand Silver Arowana Osteoglossum bicirrhosum--but, interestingly, not the same model that I've seen elsewhere (it can be seen in this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I have also never seen it in a catalog scan from Kaiyodo, so I don't know much more, other than it's my only Osteoglossum figure! And for those wondering, the fish really is that greenish-yellow along the dorsum. Between that and the overall shape, I knew immediately that this was a different arowana figure (but it is definitely not a Scleropages, so I'm good!) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The figure is about 12 cm long, so it is about 1:7.5 scale (assuming it is a full grown 90cm). And for scale with a 'person' (it's the closest I have, but the right length for an average adult woman) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I've been around big arowana, but never one that large! _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! | Nice Monkey fish Sean, I guess it is a real rarity! So your next hunt will be the other Kaiyodo Silver aronawa? |

| Thanks everyone--I didn't think I'd ever actually find one, so when it popped up, I had to grab it! It is probably one of the most expensive single figures I have, but it makes a good 40th birthday present to myself! - Kikimalou wrote:

If I ever see it, I will at least consider it. I'm just glad to finally have a South American arowana (the Asian gets so much more attention) - SUSANNE wrote:

Ps, your lady swimmer is lovely also She was the closest thing we had here--my kids don't have any Barbies or GI Joes or other 9" dolls, so she worked. Apparently, she's a skinny dipper (bad idea in the Amazon, I'm thinking ) but her princess dress wouldn't have let her swim very well! _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection!
