And these brown and white cow and calf can't be Hererord...Hereford are more reddish and have typical patern, more like coat than spots, with white legs, belly, head and typical white ridge on their backs....
I appreciate they didn't make pink skin around eyes of Holstein cattle...the cow looks nice, but the head reminds me of the current one...
I agree with Benga about the horses tips...maybe the Mustang mare has some charm and Mustang and Anda foals look nice....Pinto foal looks ugly (for me that way you feel sorry for the poor thing). Clydesdale stallion isn't that bad, as it seems on photo we could allredy see.
Dogs are strange..maybe the puppy is acceptable...
And I love the giraffe calf, its face is really cute as face of real giraffe calf.
For me only few items on wishlist...

I like the new dogs but gosh I don't like the new pelican at all. It just looks kinda...gross? Wish they would make ones with closed wings and mouths instead of ones that take up HUGE amounts of space.

Guess so much for a brown pelican. The octopus and flamingo are pretty good though. I hope we will see new European and North American wildlife still. Was hoping for a new mallard family too but not seeing one listed.

Some of the horses are really beautiful but I don't collect any of them myself.

My favorites are the flamingo, the female and baby giraffes, and the Dalmatian puppy.

A pangolin, A PANGOLIN from Schleich I can't belive that. And a oryx two very nice additions for Schleich. Thank you for letting us know that things so early.

I will make more comments later, but I think theres a few good steps in terms of speciation. But is anyone else feeling de ja vu? Many of their figures seems like modern remakes of old figures.

Nice! I think i will get the pangolin and oryx to my collection :) some of the animals have a lot of problems with proportions, especially giraffes and elephants. But it's nice to see oryx and pangolin done byschleich.

The oryx is awesome! That is the one species I've been waiting for Schleich to redo and it looks fantastic!
The cheetah cub is funny colored IMO, aren't they gray/black as cubs with a mane? I also think the adult could be more brown/yellow instead of orange. The giraffes are also very good IMO but the legs look short, especially on the male. The pelican will make a great companion to my 2012 one, perhaps a mated pair? I'm no expert on pelican sexual dimorphism. I also don't know if I could ask for a better flamingo from Schleich. The frog's a nice addition as well. I like lots of reptiles and amphibians. The elephant does look funny... the tusks are pointing downwards, perhaps it is a forest elephant? I think the rounded ears would suggest that as well. Also like the inclusion of a trunk-up elephant. The female is a good improvement at least, but the baby leaves a bit to be desired to me. Not going to comment on the whale/fish for now but it is nice to see the octopus back in Schleich's range. The leopard is an improvement as well and the pangolin was a nice touch.
One thing I'd like to have seen from Schleich is a good camel. Since the last one was retired I've been expecting an improved version but I guess I'll have to wait another year.

Every year the same models, the same species, and an quality more and more going down. I think about to buy an animal book to send it to Schleich, so they can see how cheethas, giraffes and elephants look like, and then I spend them a visit to a zoo, so they can see them alive.

I can't belive how ugly and ridicoulos the cheethas look like, especially the female and the cub. How is this possible, even Bully makes now a higer quality.....

The sperm whale, what have they down ? Took Schleich a piece of soap and cut out of it a whale ?

Very Funny...The Oryx looks nice-no more, no less, also the Pangolin. Unbelivable they done a Pangolin, but it will be on Sale for a short time-nobody will buy it. The giraffes are look very funny and cute, too, but not like giraffes. The Elephants, a bit better than the former ones, but no brand has made yet good elephants.

Schleich has defenitely lost the race-Collecta is the best of all Toy animal brands !

Yes, the mare that sounds like a mustang isn't bad, but the colors on that Anduloesian foal, wow, just wow. The Arabian stallion is good, and the paint foal is darling, proportionate, and overall stunning. They failed on their wild life though, sad. Are there going to be any horse accessories?

YYAYYYY!!!! Schleich is making an antelope again

My only interest lies with the Pelican and the Dunkleosteus.
The Pelican posture is a very bold approach IMO.
A pose that is never done before (as far as I know).
To me, the person that sculpted that Pelican has some balls. And I like it.  

And the Dunkleosteus looks menacing and much more refined than the other dinos released for 2016.
Is this the sculptor that also did the Pentaceratops in 2014 and Kentrosaurus in 2015? I'm so curious.
Because all the other new dinos for 2016 look kinda harsh and subpar to Dunky.

The new Unicorn mare is great! The stallion and foal, I don't like the "stringy" manes... I'll still buy them, of course.
The water dragon looks like something straight out of How to Train Your Dragon! Very colourful. I hope it's brought some new friends as well- all the different types of Dragons are absolutely gorgeous.
And the new Knights with the in-training Dragon/Griffin- cute! The knights remind me of gladiators. I wish they'd picked slightly different colours/designs for the dragon and griffin, though, they look just like smaller, less-armoured versions of the big ones. Still, a must-buy as well!

I await the aforementioned waterfall. Ever since I started collecting Schleich, I always wanted a waterfall playset... it won't be like what I see in my mind, but I hope I will like it just as much.

Excellent oryx and nice pelican, in very original pose! I have mixed feelings when I saw the elephants and especially the giraffes (yes, these two species were made the best way by vintage companies as Jeol and Britains, unbeatable until now!). Not sure about the cheetah female - can be rather leopard?!

Is this everything for the upcoming year? Seems odd that the wildlife is almost entirely only from Africa. Some nice releases but i'm really only interested in about three releases if that is everything.
