Schleich 2016 List of Releases With Pictures!

Well I chose to collect schleich because of their lifelike figures, but I think - like everyone else it seems - that they are beginning to stray too far from the reality. It is a pitty.

I believe these photos have an awful 'fisheye' effect to them, skewing the proportions even more than they are. Will have to see better photos to judge.
The Stallion looks in a way promising.

I like the stallion, although his back hooves seem a bit big. I really like the foal, but the mare reminds me of a young, not fully developed draft horse. She doesn't really resemble a clydesdale in my opinion. She has a really thin body and long legs.

Yes, the angle is horrid.

Oooh all this is taking too much, I really wished we would see some official pics from any of the major brands.. Can't wait to see the catalogue pictures of these clydesdales, I sure hope they're better than the pics we've already seen!

There are three new species, one bird, one sea animal and an south american animal (I belive).

a bird that schleich never had golden eag.... oh wait schleich already had that so maybe a flamingo or a new species of penguin that schleich has never had.


a new sea animal mmm difficult choice since there are so many maybe a bowhead whale or a squid or something unexpected.


as for the south American animal I guess we might have a Brazilian tapir but since the other tapir wasn't a big seller then I doubt this but we'll have to see or maybe schleich is brining out an anaconda..

Maybe a maned wolf

Schleich never had one, but almost every other brand has some of these "south american" animals.

I can definitely tell that schleich will make these though

Sable antelope: male, female and baby
Mule deer buck
Gazelle remake
Lesser kudu
Guar and calf
Red river hog
Ethiopian wolf

Mountain goat
Ibex


I can tell that these will be made I am 100% sure

Trevok, your bird answer is correct, but pssst... you haven't got this info from me..

Exciting news. My guess for a bird would be a cockatoo, toucan, or flamingo. (does new species mean new altogether or just something Schleich hasn't done before?) There's lots of guesses for ocean animals to pick just one, and I'm glad South America gets a shout out this year, I feel like Australia and S. America get ignored mostly which is a pity since their diversity is so vast. Schleich has done llamas and alpacas and jaguars, but there is so much more that could be done. Caiman, margay, jaguarundi, a huge amount of monkeys and birds, as well as other large mammals. Can't wait to see them all at the end of the month.

And thanks Alex for the hints, I understand that you can't reveal too much, and we should be grateful for the little teasers you've given us so far. I would hate if you got cut off from the information line for revealing a little too much to us. In the meantime, I for one will wait for the better photos of the clydes next week, and the rest of them at the end of the month. And also, thanks for help thus far.

Schleich is releasing a barn owl? Oh, that makes sense, a new species to Schleich but a resonably common figure in toy shape. Also Papo made it recently and it seems these years Schleich is replying to Papo releases. It is also an animal that works for North American and European markets and it is quite cute. I believe it will look nice.

I wrote "South America" because I'm not sure what species it is, so I don't know on what part of the world it really lives. But anyway I still think it is South America.

Which one, the golden eagle and penguin post? Golden eagle is not new so is it another penguin? ... and a new species for Schleich? I hope it is not a gentoo or a rockhopper.
