Walkaround - Nature Technicolour Clear Rivers in Japan No. 02 - Nikkou Iwana/White-spotted Char (Salvelinus leucomaenis pluvius)

This is the model that finally completed the Clean Rivers set for me, and it was a decent surprise to see that while they are using the same exact mould for Yamato Iwana (No. 03), the paint job is differing enough to make it quite distinctive in its own way, unlike the almost identical Yamame (No. 04) and Amago (No. 05). With this model it was painted using metallic paint and if you look closely enough you can see the sparkly pigments of the paint reflecting the light.

Thanks all. The Japanese really do focuses on the minute details that some other companies might miss.

They are definitely lightweight compared to Schleich figures, but not as fragile that you have to handle them like glass slippers. The secret figure in particular (No. 10 - walkaround coming soon) is definitely bulky and has some heft to it.

That's still a big mystery for me. How the Japan companies managed to have so fantastic painting on cheap models and how Occidental companies missed that quality. I'm sure there is an answer but I can't find it
