| This is the third figurine in the set and is one of two identical sculptures, the other being No. 02 (Nikkou Iwana/White-spotted char), the main difference being the paint job, namely the colour of the body spots where this one is red and the other one is white. The Japanese Char is commonly found up to 30 cm long, making the model at 8 cm long at around 1:4 scale. It is a much rarer cousin of the more commonly found White-spotted Char and is an elusive target for fly fishermen. The model is depicted in a dynamic diving down position, making good use of the left pectoral fin as a disguised anchor to the rock. Viewed at some certain angles it feels like as if the fish is floating in the model. The details are again right up there with a figurine this size. The paint job conveys the wet, slippery feeling of the fish and the lower half of the body even has that ribbed texture where the belly muscles are. In my model at least the seam is almost imperceptible, only visible when you flip the fish upside down and squint your eyes. Overall this is another testament at how this particular company has that knack for producing great nature models. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _________________ Riz

| Again a great model Riz and a very nice walkaround. I like very much the natural pose and neat colors of Kitan Club. It makes this kind of stuff unplayable but it is abig hit on a shelf More than mammals, fish models really need to be "captured" in action. |

| Thanks Christophe. Yes these looks best on a shelf and I'm not planning on having my 2.5-year old son getting his hands on them anytime soon _________________ Riz
