| Hi guys, Yesterday, I received my unpaid parcel from Miss Nicollete Lerch of the Modellpferdeversand (MPV). Yes, unpaid. As far as I know, MPV is the only online store in the world that deliver the goods first, and pay later. Very strange right? But it is true. Kudos And take note, their shipping and handling charges is very affordable too. I was charged for a total of 16 Euros only for the four Arelan figures with the 22 animal figures altogether. And since I am not from any of the EU countries, I am free of the GST charges in which is very very advantage of me. So, my total charges is only came up to 151 Euros inclusive of the S&H charges already. Normally, it took 10 days for a parcel to arrive from Germany to Singapore. But this time I got it after 16 days only. Anyway, it doesn't matter I guess because the parcel from USA to Singapore normally takes three weeks. Unfortunately, I can only post my photos either tonight or tomorrow because I couldn't find my USB cable. So, I can't transfer my files just yet. One more thing, all my new stuffs are all made in Germany except for the four Arelans which are still from the PROC. One thing I forgot is I forgot to request for a new Catalog. What a waste. Anyway here's the list first for the January 2011 released: Akhal-Teke stallion 13690 Pinto Mare 13696 Pinto Yearling 13695 Knabstrupper Stallion 13689 Dartmoor Pony Stallion 13692 Falabella Mare 13688 Falabella Foal 13687 Texas Longhorn Cow 13685 Texas Longhorn Calf 13684 Poitou Donkey Foal 13686 Grey Goose Cygnet 13680 Grey Goose Gander 13679 Grey Goose 13678 Wolverine 14646 Giant Tortoise Young 14643 Emperor Penguin with Chick 14632 Arctic Fox Kit 14639 Arctic Fox 14638 African Buffalo Calf 14641 African Buffalo 14640 Kudu Calf 14644 Kudu Antelope 14645 Although this year is a Year of the Rabbit, still I made a pass since I don't collect Rabbits and also I don't collect cats except for the old Pedigree Cats which I made an exception before.

| Congratulations, Ronald. I know it must be extra-difficult to collect Schleich and other lines when you live in Singapore and/or Philippines, so I think it's very good that this time your location turned out to be to your benefit... Here is something else to help you feel better - DHL packages of up to 2 kgs cost 13.90 euros to send from Germany to the USA, but they typically take 6 weeks to arrive. Recently, over the holidays, I had to wait 8 weeks for a package. I'd almost forgotten about the figures contained therein... Well done and we will enjoy the photos when you post them. |

Well done and we will enjoy the photos when you post them. Thanks Phil for your important info regarding the postage cost. I will take note of that. Thanks. You are actually right, Phil. Buying and collecting these stuffs are quite difficult for me especially Schleich is not available in Singapore. Of course, the most difficult is always the financial side. Luckily, I don't have to pay for the GST charges because I saved a lot from not being charged for it. Plus the fact that the Singapore Dollars is very strong nowadays against other foreign currencies. Last year alone, 1 Euro cost me 2.1 Singapore Dollars. Now, it's only 1.70+. And US Dollars dropped from 1.6 four years ago to 1.2-1.3 the most at this moment. These factors is helping me to save more dollars than usual. So, less starving and more food for me to eat. And buying stuffs from online store is always a gamble for me because I can't simply choose for the good ones. I am only relying to their catalog's photos. Plus the expensive S&H charges especially that the USPS has almost doubled their charges since last year. Normally, postal cost from Germany to Singapore is not that bad especially if the seller uses the non registered mail postage. But very few seller does that because it's risky. And for a normal days, stuffs from Germany only takes 10-14 days to arrive here in Singapore. US takes 2-3 weeks on the non peak season though. |

Thanks Gabe. Actually they are all good. But I must say, I am quite disappointed with the new Cape Buffalo. The calf is nice but the bull is not unfortunately. |

I am waiting mine to come in & together with some Bullyland 20111 & Safari 2011. Thanks Ken and Happy Chinese New Year to you and to all the Chinese around the world. Well, my next project would be the CollectA, Papo and the Schleich's May release. I am still thinking whether I will give the Safari Ltd a pass this year or just wait for the review from other members first. |

| Congratulation Ronald, a great batch you catch So you are a bit disappointed with the Cape buffalo ? I like mine . I saw yours has got a black muzzle and mine has a lighter colour... We never have the same models . Maybe it's because you bought yours at MPV and I bought mine at... MPV ! - Lasersword1973 wrote:

So you won't have to wait too long about some SAFARI ltd reviews, the lesser kudu, roadrunner, inostrancevia and kaprosuchus are at home since yesterday. I just need to find enough time to pictured them |

BUT, WHICH ONE WASSET? SEE, IT WILL BE MY FIRST TIME, THAT I'LL MAKE AN ORDER OVER SEA'S. WHICH ONE, SCHLEICH61?? Hello fellow Golden Stater. If the package is sent from Germany to USA via DHL, it will cost 13.90 euros if up to 2 kgs and about 31 euros if up to 5 kgs and it will normally take six weeks. This package took two additional weeks because of the snowstorms in Europe at the time it was mailed and the glut of incoming international packages to USPS just prior to Christmas. Some of the other mail services from Germany for small packages will arrive in 7-10 days or even less. If you have any specific questions about your orders, please feel free to ask me for information or advice via PM, Martin. Which order, or which items should you acquire? Well, that is up to you, of course! Phil G. |

| Thanks for the pics, Ron! Now I can see that the Grey Geese are actually grey On the first official pics they looked more brown. Could you take some size-comparison photos with the geese next to some Schleich European animals? And Mallard ducks, particularly? _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! | The pictures are great, thanks for these. I was really excited when I got my models but for some reason I feel a little disapointed about the Kudu - it is small compared to other and existing models and I am unhappy about that. The adult kudu should be more bigger in my hands like the other models but it is so slim and light and small...I feel let down! I cant help feeling like this. Other models feel much more meatier, solid, big compared to the Kudu adult..... |

Hm, I'm surprised to hear that. I was thinking that Papo kudu is too big and hoped that the Schleich one would be smaller to fit other Schleich shorties in my African displays - rhinos, elephants, lions... _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! My collector's blog

When ordering from USA I only use VPOST and costs much less and a 4kg only cost me about S$40.00. As it compare to USPS = 30.00 dollars saving. Maybe we should combine? Happy Chinese New Year!!! _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/ken-yeo
