Hi everyone,
I want to show you my first attempt to do something bigger than what i have created till now.
I was thinking about what to do and I have decoded for cat, big cat..... a smilodon! tongue

I will need lot of time to finish it, but this is how it looks like now (sorry for bad photos, I wil have better next week)
Please, when you have any advice tell it to me cyclops

I can`t wait to see it with head bounce

Wow, it seems like a really great start! Can't wait to see more. I think you captured the movement already and anatomy looks very good, it will be great model I'm sure! cheers

I don`t know much about the wild cats as other members here,
I`m just a someone, who loves them very much :)))
But I realy like how your smilodon is going.
You will se now, how the others will react, when they see it bounce

I`m shure like me cheers

I love big cats too cat

but their anatomy is difficult to make.... and smilodon is extinct cat, so I don´t have photos to work with

And with copies - I wanted to make copy of my work before, but I don´t have material! But I will try find it somewhere...

Very good! You captured the front limbs really well, since they're larger than that of most modern cats.

Strong and long front limbs, powerful body, back droping, everything goes in the right direction now. If you capture a good connection of this body with the flattened head, I am sure it will end in a very good replica of a smilodon, both scientifically and artistically! Very Happy

Great work Carolina. Perfect body proportions: I think that species with lower hindquarters are difficult to model with elegant poses, but you achieved it (simplicity is the key). Now, go for the head and those magnificent sabreteeth...!

Without reading your text, but just by looking at the first picture I guessed it would be a Smilodon.
So in my opinion you're doing a fine job depicting it.
