| Gratuliere Torben! I agree on the sculpting... The pose is so nice, and then the strange sculpt on the ribcage, as the ribs are seldom to be seen with okapi's, because herbivores have full belly's... The calf is nice to, but his head is to big... I think i have to write Bullyland about this, because when they wanted to follow up the other big brands in okapi's, then they didn't do a good job! |

| Wow, she is quite big! I was hoping they'd be the same scale as Papo - don't like the ribcage at all. They both need a repaint - so I think I get them, sand down the funny lines and repaint them, as the actual sculpt is beautiful. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| I'm just afraid the texture will be lost on places where ribs used to be. Can it be rebuilt? _________________ Robert

| Congrats Torben on the new okapis. I like the figures but do not like the red colors. Okapis are known for their dark dark brown velvet coats. The red coats look like they are sun bleached. Okapis live in very dense forest cover and the red would definately help predators find them. |

Yes, I think I could fix that - with a sharp knife you could put the texture back, once it's all repainted you wouldn't be able to tell. Judging by the Bullyland models I have the rubber/plastic they're made out of is quite soft, so it wouldn't be so difficult to make indentations. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Sorry to disagree with you Sergey, but the latest studies of the rod and cone structure of the retina of many members of the animal kingdom show that many animals including birds, insects, aquatic creatures, most primates, and probably many feline species can see different amounts of color hues. The old adage that animals only see black and white is no longer true. Research is showing that color plays a wider role in food gathering, mating and defense. large role in
