| These pictures were originally taken some time ago, and others have shared pictures of these animals, but here are my New-Ray figures from the small wildlife sets and a set of six cattle. I like these for a number of reasons: they were very inexpensive, and the painting is poor, which is perfect for customizing. Also, the sculpting of the ungulates is very good overall- notably, the bodies are thick while the legs are thin, and the antlers/horns are appropriately thin and pointed. These sculpting aspects are risky for mass production resulting in the compromises we usually see among "major brands". Some of the sculpting is a little strange- the faces of the bighorn ram and white-tailed buck, for instance. The small sets also offered a white tiger (more crudely sculpted I think) and cubs, which I did not get. I've never found the waterfowl-only sets. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The six cattle came together. There were other assortments, too. | That is very interesting Andy and I am sure it will be useful for future reference. We still don't know too much about New-Ray and we are planning to work that section soon on TAI. |

| Thanks Andy! New-Ray keeps being still hard to track but I think the TAI page gives already a good overview of it. Lots from this topic are still missing there. |

| I've just been looking at some of those other interesting series. This topic is all I can contribute, plus a few old wildlife models that are already documented on the wiki. I should add pictures of those ones here, too. Feel free to use these pictures if they are of any use. I can take individual pictures if you need any, too. _________________ - Andy

Thanks Andy! I will have more free time than I expected during these days, so I think it is a good time to work that section of New-Ray USA. I'd love to start with the Wildlife series. You can confirm here if the pronghorn, white-tail family, moose and elk are the same as yours. If they are, we are missing pictures of: - Fallow deer family - Black bear family - Grizzly family - Mountain goat - Mountain sheep If you could use a Lego or Megablocks brick to be used as comparison, it would be great. If not, don't worry too much about it. We only need a single picture of each family. Orphans you can take individually. |

| Yes, those on the wiki are the same (the finish is variable from year to year on these, I think). I will see what I can do for the others. Also, I will be "hunting" for those birds shown on the wiki. _________________ - Andy

| Actually I was thinking of the game birds from the other hunting sets- I think they are more attainable. The 1995 birds are fantastic finds but much more of a challenge, I'm sure. _________________ - Andy

The 1995 birds are fantastic finds but much more of a challenge, I'm sure. Oh, of course they are easier to find. In a quick search you can find several being sold through EBAY. They are also relatively recent, from 2008 or so... and more realistic. Yes, the old series is quite challenging. |

Very interesting, Andreas! Let us know if you find the polar set. There is a group of figures, chronogically between those we know with bases and the newer from New-Ray USA that keep quite illusive. |

| I agree that cheetah looks like a nice, small sculpture. The giraffe looks the same as mine but with different paint. I dug through my pictures and found one I made of my few older New-Ray figures: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]So...I mentioned in the other thread that I thought they came two animals plus one accessory to a pack (plastic bubble with cardboard back), but now I can't quite remember how these two sets came: was it the wildebeest & pigs in one pack and the giraffe with two accessories in the other? Maybe I saved the cardboard backs but I don't know where they would be anymore... Also, I colored the eyes on the giraffe- it did not come with painted eyes like Andreas' version. _________________ - Andy
