| We've been so busy with MiniZoo I haven't had time to sculpt but finally the Christmas rush is over. I'm sorry I've neglected the forum for all this time but it's nice to be back... I hope you enjoy my new Blue Tongue Lizard! If you consider him an adult he is 1:5 scale - 7cm long but I think I prefer to think of him as a baby though! Thankyou, but I don't have the expertise (or time) to make copies unfortunately. - Dum_my wrote:

But (maybe i'm wrong) i work with these lizzards and they alway have this orange pinkische belly and troath ? is this only for the one bred in the Netherlands maybe ? From what I have researched there are 8 species or 14 counting subspecies of Blue Tongues (actually a skink not a lizard - but commonly called a lizard here). The markings vary tremendously - from completely black to very pale. We actually have one living in our front garden - we call him 'Quentin' Quentin is an Eastern Blue Tongue and I've based my markings on this. Eastern's have a very pale belly (as do most Blue Tongues) and not really orange like your example, although orange is very common too I've gone for darker around the head than the below example but the belly & throat is quite white. | Quentin is beautiful and your models too I'm happy to hear from you and to know you are still active. As far as I understand you are not working for S&N this year? |

| I love your reptiles. This one has really beautiful colors and details for such a small sculpture. I hadn't known yet that your work was used for S&N- that's great! _________________ - Andy

| Thanks to all for such nice compliments. I've just spent a week on holidays in Tasmania and more inspired than ever to create more sculpts of the amazing Australian wildlife! _________________ - Tahnaya [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] https://www.minizoo.com.au/ |
