| Show us your Tigers [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The first SUY of 2016 is for the tigers. Mayor (and other) brands have used tigers often in their range of products. Among them are some masterpieces like the ones produced by our big cat king Papo. Unfortunately, tigers are not so common anymore in the real world as they are in the toy world... As you may know, there are nine tiger subspecies of which three have gone extinct. Bengal Tiger - Indochinese Tiger - Malayan Tiger - Siberian Tiger - South China Tiger - Sumatran Tiger - †Bali Tiger - †Caspian Tiger - †Javan Tiger Beside these subspecies, there are also different colouration or colour mutations that can occur in a tiger. We know about the regular orange tiger and the white or snow white colour mutation, but did you know about the Golden Tiger? Or a Pseudo Melanistic Tiger? But now on to the miniature versions!I'll start off with four little tigerz and you'll surely follow with more ; ) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Anne-Joke [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ajs.artistry - Instagram AJs Artistry Shop - Etsy

| Most breakable of all my tigers: Statue thing my husband has I recently unpacked. Probably given to us by his parents or something right before we moved and it got packed up because I have absolutely no recognition of it. But apparently I packed it. Did not see any indication of manufacture. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _________________ Laura

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Been off-line for a while, but busy taking photo's, not many animals I'm afraid most are in storage, but managed to scrape these together! I have a soft-spot for Tigers...fearful symmetry and all that.... The 'very small HK' refers to the 'HK' mark, not the sculpt which is Britains-like! _________________ Small Scale World Airfix Figures Facebook - Hugh Walter eBay - smallscaleworld

| Hi !!! HUGH !!! SO great to see you here again, and to get a glimpse of your wonderful collection Wonderful, unusual and very, very interesting models and very, very nice and clear photos ! I love that wooden tiger !!! He looks like somebody has also loved him a lot before he came to you. He is probably happy to be loved less roughly in your collection, - lucky tiger to find such a good new home WOW ! You have the fantastic Preiser tigers in their box !!! A true gem, isn't it ? |
