| Big congrats, he is stunning! I don't collect Traditionals, because of lack of space, but this one will be maybe an exception ;-) _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta |

| I love that it is a very delicate sculpt, the insertion point of the tail is minimal and ears are also gently sculpted. I love the expression, pose and natural looking! What breed does it represents? |

You're absolutely right, the sculpt is delicate, it's masterpiece. Valegro is KWPN gelding. _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta |

| Oh isn't he lovely Yes, also excited to see what other colours they'll wrap him in. I still think that it's strange that he has no chestnuts though And my Valegro, just to supplement this topic [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

I thought all horses had chestnuts Are there specific breeds without them or does it depend on the specific horse? _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

| Valegro are going to have the honour of being my first model with a base. Hopefully he is better than Keltec Salinero, Huckleberry Bey and Totilas on that front. I think he is a very lovely sculpture in a nice dark colour. And I just love that he actually have a lot of white. So boring with ordinarily bays without it. Especially as his socks are so uneven. I really like that. I do hope he doesn't show of any weird and IRL painful movement like Totilas does. I'm really not good enough to know that.
I wonder what other colours he will come in? Tobiano? Palomino? Grey? Flaxen? Maybe sabino chestnut or even a leopard or spotted blanket? So many colours that probably will suit him very well. |

| He's super sturdy, and I'm not a fan of bases but this one is awesome. |

I thought all horses had chestnuts Are there specific breeds without them or does it depend on the specific horse? From what I've been able to find, there are 3 domestic breeds which seldom have leg chestnuts on the hind legs - Banker Horse, Caspian Pony, and Icelandic Horse. Wild asses and zebras have chestnuts only on the forelegs. Seems to me I've read about a rare breed of horse which has no chestnuts on any leg, but I can't remember which breed. I'll have to go looking through my reference books. |
