| This is the first sketch of the next member of the Felidae Family: The Sunda Clouded Leopard. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]As you can see in this artistic view, it is quite similar to his Indochinese brother. A different species, anyway. | That's a fantastic challenge! Their fur pattern is different but it is much easier to say than to paint and figure out their differences. The sculpt is very nice with the usual short legs of clouded leopards. |

| Looks like you're going to cover every wild cat species! You must have a really steady hand to paint such fine details! Again, your work is amazing! Okay, okay. I'm starting to sound repetitive! |

| Thanks LeeAnn, Sussane, Rogério and Viking....I know it is difficult to believe but my model of the Sunda Clouded Leopard flew away... I have been looking for him for a long time but I can only said that he "has scaped" (perhaps I throw it to the bargage not being aware). So I definitively stoped my search and started to make this new model that I think is more promising than the previous one...lets see... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This time I promise to put him in a cage... |

| Great work! Will you show the Sunda clouded leopard together with the continental species? It could be nice to see them together. |

Here you have the pictures: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I have to say that both species shoud have been quite similar. The most significant differences between them is related with the way how they are spotted. Sunda species have smaller clouds in the back half of the body. The color of the two models are slightly different, being one more brownish than the other. However, both species can have the two colorations. Other differences between them are mostly due to the way how they were sculpted. |

| It is very nice to see these two together. Scientists haven't noticed their differences for a long time and that is the reason why they thought they were a single species. They use also to distinguish them because Sunda species is usually greyish and it has a complete double dorsal strip instead of a partial double dorsal strip as it happens with mainland species. I am not documented enough with pictures but you seem to have noticed it too. |
