| Subject: The last from The Big Box Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:58 pm | |
| Today I got through the last of the contents of The BIG Box. Got them cleaned and took a closer look Here are the last ones I want to keep. I will not put then in seperate strings, because it won`t make sence. This guy is from Bullyland and he is really big, he weighs almost 250 g ! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]More Bullyland. The kittens were so happy that the bucket turned over on the way ;-) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A little old Lynx together with one I got last year. He has REALLY been played with, but I think he is much more cute than the newer one. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Elefants from Safari ! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A little fox and a little wolf from Safari. I wonder if they are from the Authentics-series ? The newer Safari-fox to the left to show the size. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Small hippo and one more pig. Both from Safai [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Two monkeys from Play Vision [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This guy has had a tough life ! He will be safe with me. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]AAA, - my orango-mom got more babies to look after LOL [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thanks for looking, - I promise, - no more Big Box stuff now |

| Thanks Sylvia and Harriet Yes, the little hippo is cute, isn`t he ? He almost disapeared in between all the large AAAs. The seller had used the best part of a telephome book to pack each figuere, so I went through all that paper again and again to make sure I did not overlook anything, - almost missed the hippo as he is grey and little I love that Orangutan also, Harriet. And the way the baby squirms to avoid being kissed She was not part of the box, though, I got her a while ago. |

Nice different positions! I love those also, they stand in the window (north, sun is never good for plastic) and I enjoy the sight several times a day, thay make me smile It is really interesting to hear which figueres people prefer, there is room for all of them Roger, yes, that little fox. Perhaps it is the one that Schleich sold in ´93 as "Authentics". At least it is the same mould and a bit primitive colouring. I think they are SO charming, but unfortunately usually quite expensive So I was VERY happy to find those two, the wolf and the fox in the box , - ha, ha, that is his name from now on : The Fox in the Box |

-Kristie I LOVE them also I have had the brown version for many years. The white ones were very often on Ebay, - untill I started looking for them Then there were NO white goats ! So I was very happy when they were in the Big Box, as you can imagine Ha, ha, Fernando, - so far I can`t have visitors staying the night, the guestroom is filled with figueres. And my poor son, when he comes here, he has to go sideways to get to his bed, because his room is filled with boxes But I know where every single one is and how it looks and it`s condition and shade of colour, - golly, this is MAD |

| What would this forum be without Roger, the fantastic, funny, friendly, lovable, Portuguese Crocobert It would only be half a Forum Today I got a package form Roger, - WOW ! We had done some trading, but most of the figueres are gifts ! Roger, you will ruin yourself this way In the top of the package was Hindberta. It was very touching to see the little family united a last [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Westie immediately found someone to talk to, - the little Pigberta was very impressed that her mom dared to speak to a Danish dog : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The piggies are made by Shing Hing, and so is this impressive African elefant [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This wonderful wolf is from Papo : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And, - look, see ! The black Buffalo from Papo ! Like many of Papo`s figueres he is just SO much more impressive in real "life" than on pictures ! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]From the top of my Wish List !!!! : May I introduce : The Papo-mandrillbert !!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]But, - perhaps the best of all, - no. Not perhaps, - THE most wonderful Bullyland Procynosuchus Brandnew from the Museum of Korbach ! The Procynosuchus lived app 250 MILLION years ago. Fossiles had been found in Africa, and it was determined that it was one of the very first ancestors of mammals. Then one day in 1988 it was discovered that the Procynosuchus had also lived in what is now Europe. In the Korbacher Spalte remains was found, which proved that Europe and Africa was one continent then !!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Procynosuchus was the size of a large Dachshound and he could live both on land and in water, - just like a crocodile This is the most presious figure in my little and slowly, - but steadyly -growing collection of Bullyland Prehistoric figueres. THANK YOU ROGER |
