| Thanks once more Sean, your collection gallery is a real toy animal figure repository! I think your humpback whale is the same as this one. The andrewsarchus is also already on TAI, so I am using your pictures of the eobasileus and the smilodon. People use to identify the smaller counterpart as a homotherium, though, I followed your suggestion and added the larger as a smilodon. These large figures are not very accurate anyway. Jusst before opening this thread, both Fernando and Philipp also provided some pics of large PV figures, so not many missing now as you can see on list updated on first post. Thanks everyone for your support! |

Thanks everyone for your support! To be fair, the small PV is labelled as Smilodon, however it is based on an illustration of Homotherium. The large one, though, is actually based on a drawing from the same source of Smilodon. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! I think their sources are more important than what they have marked and I also think it is fair to put things like that. - Bowhead Whale wrote:

From my notes I haven't found any collector with the bowhead whale. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] has the Amazon river dolphin and will also provide a picture. So. probably tresher shark and bowhead whale are the ahrdest to find. Among prehistoric mammals, @Judstone has the palorchestes, I may ask him for a pic, perhaps. :) |

As far as we know, a grey whale was never released in small size. |

| That's wonderful [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ... what a good surprise. I was not expecting pictures at all, I was just moved by a very little hope. I will add your great pictures on TAI as soon as I can and many thanks for providing them. Please keep giving us news from your collection, it seems very interesting. These figures are not common at all. |

Commerson's Dolphin [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Now you brought something interesting and promising! In these catalogue pictures we use as source to list them, there is no Commerson's dolphin. So, if you have one, it means that we may not know the whole series. As you have the original tag is there any helpful information you could share with us? Is the product number 8013 and is there a release year? Thanks! :) |

Here's the rest of the tag. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I got it in 2008 at SeaWorld in San Diego, when they still had Commerson's dolphins on exhibit. It's the exact same mold as the hourglass dolphin, just a different paint job. And the text on the belly is printed instead of embossed. The only year I see is the 1996 on the belly. I also have a couple of small PV figures that are labeled for SeaWorld, and I got my large PV beluga at the SeaWorld in San Antonio, so there is (or was) a relationship between the companies. My guess is that the big Commie was made specifically for SeaWorld. _________________ Collector of marine mammals

My guess is that the big Commie was made specifically for SeaWorld. Thanks again, it is quite relevant and interesting. I agree with you about the cooperation and that the commerson's may not be part of the standard range. Now I see its item number is 8000. We know all numbers from 8001 to 8040 and there are 4 dinos we don't know their numbers. So, being it the 8000 and imprinted as it is, it contributes to your asception. On catallogue, curiously, bottlenose and hourglass's have their info exchanged. I know I am asking lots of things but do you have the tag of your beluga? Could you confirm its item number. Is also there any chance to see if it is imprinted like your dolphin? About the small figures PV/SW, it is surely something to study. - widukind wrote:

Could you please share a picture of that eventual knock-off here? - Bowhead Whale wrote:
