| I was planning to make an enclosure for a pair of greater kudus I have. As you can tell by my name I want to make an enclosure that would be fit for traveling on a boat. Any ideas? |

| Well, if you could find a shoebox that might be a good start. Depends on how accurate you want. There's been reports of them jumping 11.5 feet under stress. I would assume being ship-bound would qualify. I suspect that if you made a stable with viewing spaces either up to the ceiling it would suffice. Or a crate? If you wanted a viewing hole, I suspect one that's at neck height would reduce leverage for escaping.... popsicle sticks maybe _________________ Laura

Poor ignored carnivores. :) I think some playmobil sets come with meat or fish. However a cheaper alternative might be to go to a (craft) store that sells the colored polymer clay. You can choose a color/colors and make your own meat products and bake then. Or even a block of the plain stuff. If you get the plain stuff you'll probably want to paint it. Just a random idea. _________________ Laura

| I finished the meat. Now for clams, fish, krill, and insects for the other animals. _________________ LOGAN

| How would you make one of these for an aquatic or semi-aquatic animal without actual water? _________________ LOGAN

Blue confetti or shredded blue paper (from an actual paper shredder, those small lints) works well for a water effect. I would not recommend any clear from or resin or stuff you can make small ponds with, it hardens and you can't get your animal in/out of it. Or you can use blue clear fabric of some sort. _________________ ~Karin~

| If you have some sort of bucket (or anything else you'd like to use for water), you can fill it up with liquid, hot (be careful!) glue out of a glue gun. When it cools down it hardens, so it will stay in there forever Love your photograph of that kudu popping out of the window I'm looking forward to see more! |
