thanks for starting the thread. I think you can also list the other figures that are listed às new even If we know they are just repaints or were already known from sets. Just indicate it with the pic amd info will be more complete, I guess.

| Wow, I'm impressed with the safaris. I might have to get a few now... _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Thanks for reposting the safari figures here. The diplodocus looks even better up close. Over all, they were really committed to realism in this line and it shows. Despite Schleich bringing out new feathered raptors, they still can't compete with the other big name companies. I have no doubt CollectA will have an impressive lineup as well. |

There are a couple sets- kid oriented but I kinda liked them- at BJs warehouse store in the US. Don't remember the exact species, about 5 figures per set.

Takama, isn't the Southlands Replicas marsupial lion missing here? That's a top news for collectors of prehistoric animals.

Really great figurines from Safari! Finally, it's time to stop adding huge spikes on everything and give coelurosaurs some feathers. They are all surprisingly accurate, they gave microraptor the color that is assumed it had from the fossilized melanosomes studies in 2012. I can't make out the details from the picture but it seems like they gave t-rex lips, if they did so that's correct as well according to 2016 studies. Tyrannosaurus had enamel teeth, which should have been protected by some kind of lips. Coloration is accurate as well. They avoided too bright colors and prefered earth tones, blacks and whites on feathers. Carotenoids are responsible for bright colors (bright orange, green, yellow and bright red) on feathers, and as they can't be synthesized by the body they must be provided from the animal's diet. Like plants or fish that contains them. Taking also into account that the most closely related to the dinosaurs extant groups of birds can't use carotenoids for feather pigmentation (only for other parts of the body, like the beak), it's quite probable that all feathered dinosaurs didn't have bright colors. Especially carnivorous species, lacking the necessary diet. But melanosomes and porphyrins combined with iridescence and high contrast can make for some really impressive colorations on their own. Please excuse any inaccuracies in my post, I'm not a scientist, I recently started reading paleontology books again. Anyway, I personally won't be getting any of these figurines as I had to stop my collection for reasons of my own, at least for now, but scientific accuracy is another reason to be happy for those of you that will be getting them. All the best!

Actually I like the clean style you're using more than it was before. I think it is also easier for you. The most important is that the information is provided in an eficient way. You could also use normal text instead of logos in Schleich and Southlands to keep the coerence with previous brands.
